The Flat Earth Society - still going strong!
Author Message
Right, and it's not really intended as a distraction but more as a "poison pill" against real conspiracies, as in, if those people are stupid enough to believe in Flat Earth, how could you trust them to get JFK or 9/11 right...

Exactly, typical psy ops. It happened couple of times to me where I expressed doubt in some official story and got a response like this: "Are you one of those people that believes Earth is flat?".

totally off-subject Archer, but do you make medieval English yew longbows? Must be awesome to draw!

I wish I could! Yew doesn't grow around here and its shitload expensive to get. Best yew is bought from vendors from Pyrenees, Apennines and some part of England.
But I am starting to get into "meanewoods". These are non-yew English longbows. Welsh people liked those in the history.

Regarding draw, this is a brutal training and not really accessible to all. Those with money today buy bows starting from let's say 90 pounds, than the next one would be 110 pounds and so on. Basically you need many bows over the years, each being about 10 to 20 pounds heavier than the previous one. In my case, I would have to make these bows. A bit over the top. One of my current projects is hawthorn English longbow but with light pull of about 60 to 70 pounds.

I am mostly focusing on flatbows and using instinctive shooting. My datasheet soon will focus on building a flatbow. Be patient Smile
