Am considering hitting up Sardinia over the Summer - most likely Cagliari

Can anyone comment on the vibe there; how easy is hooking up with tourists/italian girls etc? Is there a better place on the island than Cagliari? what is nightlife like?

Any more data on Sardinia? I'll be there next month. Sounds like a tough-as-balls flagging destination, but it appears there are some beautiful things to see.
