Exactly. I don't think the cut and run idea is realistic, because you would still have to file your tax return with the IRS each year. It's getting very difficult for Americans abroad to lay low because of new laws like FATCAt and the pressure that the US can put on smaller countries by blocking trade.

It would only work if the guy has another citizenship and is willing to renounce.

Well I keep on getting an error message when trying to post the screenshots, I will download on the laptop and try again later. It says the image is too large but at 157.5kb's thats hard to believe. This is straight up legit in every detail. As far as the paper goes, it isn't hard if you are persistent, I'm 39, been doing what I do for 13 years, look at my handle, its what I do, for a large regional bank in derivatives. There are cats out there that make double and triple that and they are 5 years younger then me. Its doable....and I wont forget to post the proof so as to call off the witchhunt! wow!

While I felt hurt for a few seconds do to a feeling of guilt. I am over it already. At the end of the day, if I tried to 'hang in there' because its the martyr's way, I would have been very miserble and resented them both immediately and always for having my wings clipped when I didn't want them to be. Then, after a couple years of co-habitating, which would also have been horrible, I would have been forced into the commonlaw swindle which is as bad as a divorce in the courts eyes, and been raped. The "female" text is essentially noble, whereas the "guy" is a heartless dick. Not only that, but the guy (supposedly making "a quarter buck" a year) can't spell to save his life, whereas her spelling is impeccably perfect.

This is a topic I feel strongly about and have some experience with, but the emotional tone of this one was odd right from the beginning. OP may not be a troll, but I'm leaning heavily to that side, particularly now that others think so too.

Oz has covered some major things, girlish use of language, poor grammar and spelling likely being inconsistent with claimed income, but there are still other signs.

-The emotional tone is wrong and frankly kinda weird. I've talked to dudes in this position, and they're usually angry and have their backs up. They're not talking about how much money they make or about how they're gonna help her move dirt in her garden etc.
-The resolution came within a few hours, and again the emotional tone was wrong. He felt guilt? He's an asshole like the other men? lol um.. normally they're asking what will happen if she changes her mind.
-Right at the beginning of the thread was a request to start a "how to convince a girl to have an abortion," which is nearly the exact title of a viral RoK article that got massive hate.
-Mentions age of the woman and a desire to get with a younger woman conspicuously several times.
-Uses the word deadbeat to describe how he feels (or rather doesn't feel)
-"They fought for the right to abort, we don't have that right to say anything, but these laws are not fair, that's for sure." This may be a somewhat reasonable sentiment, but it certainly isn't one normally uttered by a guy that's in this position, particularly since the problem is her refusal to abort.
-Just generally sounds like a female use of language in so many areas. For example "I just want no part of babies like this. Not like this. Not with her." or "lots of tears."
-It generally doesn't sound like an adult of 39.

And the post count that low? Again, could be legit, and if it is my apologies, but if I were to guess I'd have to agree with Oz.

So what if it was a troll? This is still a good topic to discuss. The topic, itself, doesn't make anyone look bad. I don't post for just the person asking the question but also for those reading the thread.

You don't think there aren't men out there that will be fathers even though they don't want to be?

It's topics like these that will help young men in the same sitution to calm down and give them enough guidance to start protecting themselves. Even if this was a feminist troll, I see no problem putting women on notice that guys won't simply accept their decisions and will fight every step of the way. The more we talk, discuss and exchange information, the more we can protect ourselves. These types of topics are far more deserving of discussion than most of the stuff I have seen posted lately.

Second, Onto is telling the OP to run to another country while he sits in the comforts of his own home.

Third, most expenses will be outlined by the court and that is based on the specifics of both parties. Onto's outline doesn't mean it is the same for every couple in the state of New York.

Paying your share doesn't mean the woman isn't paying as well. If the woman can't pay her share of private school there will be no private school. Fight for custody if you don't want her to make the decisions. It worked out for El Mech but he isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty.

My uncle got sued for out of state college tuition because tuition was part of his divorce settlement. He had and was willing to pay for in state tuition but not out of state. He ended up winning the case.

Correct, you can't magically abdicate your obligation through anything short of the mother putting the kid up for adoption (see that guy who was a sperm donor getting hit up for support for example)

How fucked up is that though? Not only can a woman unilaterally have or abort a child but she can also go right ahead and put the child up for adoption. She 'doesn't want the child' but no one is going to come after her for support after the fact for wanting nothing to do with her child via adoption.

If a regular poster with a 500+ post count asked this, i'd be more able to help. I'd be ashamed to open an account here and then ask such a question. You don't go up to guys you don't know and ask for help. You have to be known first.

First of all I never said he should run. I said he needs to evaluate his financial situation, liability and life goals and then make a decision.

For me, at 43 and after suffering for 16 years I would think long and hard about enduring another 21 year sentence at this point in my life.

that would definitely work, but again the woman has to be complicit. You can't have her sign a contract that she will deny knowledge of who the father is.
