Soups position is extremely strange considering his dim view of humanity. According to Soup, humanity is too dangerous to own guns, but the most ruthless of humanity who rise to the top of society and control government, it's okay that they have guns, and the rest of us are just supposed to trust that they won't bully the rest of us with them even though it routinely happens over and over again and is currently happening all around the world. Korben, guns give people a false sense of power. False in the sense that most of the people who own guns and who don't live in the messed up urban areas will never have to use their guns on other people.

But, holding a gun makes them feel like they are big shit. It's like women who cut their hair short because they want to feel tough.

Selling guns as this cool sexy thing is lame as all hell.

To support the egos of those people, guns are easy to get hold of in places where it isn't good to have a lot of people having them.

I don't think everyone should have such easy access to such powerful weapons.

Would you say it would be better for the world if everyone had access to suitcase-nukes?

You do realize our government has a history of oppressing people? People that say, are black? And that the NRA was founded to help blacks protect their rights and advantages they gained after the civil war? And that gun control was originally enacted as a means to deny gun ownership to blacks?

My dad gave me a sword I was 11. I thought it was really cool. Kids aren't stupid.

Also, your opinion that not everyone should own a sword isn't a new one. That's the same position the European aristocracy held for hundreds of years. Only those of noble birth had the right to carry swords. Because Obama.
