One thing I was really wondering.

When I was in Piter, I had only one date that thought it was natural to let me pay for drinks without a comment. Almost all the other dates insisted on doing alternating rounds or sometimes sharing the bill. Usually I would say its a bad sign, but I ended up banging the ones I liked regardless. I mean they're not stupid and probably know that western man aren't used to it. On most of the other dates I insisted on paying, as I know the financial situation is really bad and I am inviting them out. They didn't argued against that.

Is this a local thing of the younger generation?

In my humble western opinion, I think that even if you remove the vatiniks and those young "top model looking" students of the Presidential Academy, there will be much more than 10% which meanwhile unfortunately think that not everything coming from rich Western countries are automatic "good", on the contrary.
Russians are getting more mature regarding this subject and it doesn't require a lot of political literacy to understand that the relations with the West are in a very deep point. Putin recently told in a interview that many EU policies failed in various aspects (specially towards immigrants) and that Russia should not just blindly copy what they did. It is not a role model anymore. Embargoes and sanctions are not improving these relations either.
As everybody knows, the Golden Age were the 90ies, and they are over long time ago.
Today, the political and cultural focus are increasingly towards the East, specially countries like India and China are becoming more and more interesting among Russian people. Yesterday I was at the "teenagers orchestra" concert at the Konservatorium and I remember that I saw at least 3 (Russian-Asian) couples, quite upper class btw.

On the other and, if one looks good and wealthy, he will have way more chances than a loser, no matter where he comes from.

Tinder Plus with Boost. Combined with Instagram (thanks to Vinny and Ragnar). More prospects than I realistically can serve, but it's great to have a lot of back up options. At this point I'm basically a monkey recklessly pushing the button for Dopamin release again and again.

I just have been to the travel agency to sort out some details about the trip. The girl working there part time was an authentic devushka from the countryside. Really sweet and giggly, totally missed this femine energy. My last date was an ukrainian au pair here and while I dont think german girls are that horrible they just can compete. Im sure most people visit during warmer months, but wondering if rewards await those willing to tough the winter.

Forget the winter, everywhere is dirty because the snow turns into mud, makes it harder to go out. On top of that it reaches -25 degrees, not counting the high winds. Best months to start going will be March to October.

Forget St. Pete in March and even April, still too cold and rainy. Season is short, May to September only.

I did April 25th - May 25th this year (2016) in Moscow and Siberia and in late April it was still a little chilly in Moscow and there were some flurries in Southern Siberia. But mid to late May was beautiful weather and short skirts galore.

I think mid May to Mid June would be a better choice - but the airline tickets were practically half off for the end of April date so I went with that and it was still a great time.

The best time to visit Russia is May 1st - June 15th. The weather starts to get warm and around May 9th - The national holiday- it gets to warm enough to not wear a jacket. You see people waking up from cold winter months and stroll outside in warm weather any time they get. May 9th is one of the most important National holidays in Russia and many get a 2-3 days off. Not enough to go on vacation but just long enough to get bored. Extra points if you wear a victory ribbon! Get it from anyone and display it as many Russians do - they will find it cool you being a foreigner an all.
Weather is perfect in Russia during this time - still not hot as it gets in the second part of June.
Another factor - airlines tickets are the cheapest this time of year. I don't know the reason,but you can fly from Europe under 200 Euro return and from the US - under 600 USD return from the east coast.

A tale of 3 *asha's, 2 *asha's, one *asha, a *atasha and *lina. A guide to fortune and misfortune behind the rising iron curtain...

Recap: Mid to upper 30's. Southern California. One year living in Russia experience. Basic Russian language. Divorced with son. Experienced in being beaten senseless by Russian patriots and leading troops in war in the Middle East. Solid job hovering dangerously near 6USD figures and beach lifestyle. Instagram game medium strong. I'm probably a fading 7 with approach skill @Liguarian -4. Newly stamped 3 year visa. Stayed between the Kremlin and Red October in a ground floor studio.

Executive Summary: I have had some time to consolidate my thoughts on my return to Russia after 5 months. I stayed 7 days, two weeks ago. I came fully prepared to say goodbye to the 20 YO LTR who failed to visit me in California in the meantime. As a result I pipelined like crazy. My main goal was to invite girls for mini relationships back to my ocean view apartment back in California, baiting them with photos and instagram game pre arrival. Anything I get in Russia is far ahead of what is here and I'm willing to host a good girl. I also know that ONS is very hard there and have all but given up on it as I'm not attracted to (yet not opposed to) club rats and skanks. My time in Russia was to be Preparation of the battlefield for the final strike in the States. I have learned to be disciplined and patient when it comes to FSU women.

Observations back in Russia outside of girls: It is fricking cold coming from 75 (22) to 30 (-1). I did well in the cold before but not being climatized sucks. Russia is dark. Where did the sun go compared to the Sunshine State? I remembered how depressing this place is in terms of climate. After a few days, everything seemed normal and I felt more at home. Being on vacation, I felt super lazy and didn't do the tourist things I set out to do outside of seeing Lenin with my girl, which was awesome... Especially because she never wanted to go and we did it together. My girl = #1*asha. Minus points for WUV for not seeing more war museums. I did make up lies about galleries I had already been to to placate dates regarding my time when I was with other girls.

Generalizations about girls: My familiarity about Russia helped me immensely. They saw me as a familiar foreigner and I did much better than my initial trip over to Moscow in terms of quality. I'm also more in tune with how to date these girls and there was less suspicion about my intentions. I was never seen as a "sex tourist." That being said, I got no new bangs which was a bit of a failure, but not a surprise. It was however not a total loss.

I took this as a bit of a red flag and although I would date her for sure in the USA, I had other options.

#3 *asha: Tinder 30 8: What a sweet girl. I barely texted her in the states but she was waiting unbeknownst to me. I was attracted to her because she was cute and a master trainer at the top fitness chain in Russia. She was looking for me when I arrived. As I had lived in Moscow before, I always had the excuse of "seeing my friends." I was one hour late to our first date at the Ritz top bar. She was minimally bothered. I complained that my "(girl)friend did not want to say goodbye." We had a great conversation even though she only took down 25% of her drink and the second night we had tea together. On the final night, she invited me to a bar called "honey I'll call you back," to meet up with her crazy friend from Sochi. What a fun night that was. I has just said goodbye to girl #1 (tears!) and took an uber to the bar at midnight. The girls were already sauced and we drank for a few more hours. As they lived 30 min away and I was near Kremlin, they crashed at my place. I continued to disrobe until I was naked next to the two girls sleeping. They gave me a nickname "_ _ no pants." I woke up drunk and had to deal with the devastating feeling of sleeping next to two girls without action. I was so close to the triple @dantes told me all about. I was able to finger blast and the girl calls or gets my call every day. Visa in process. Win.

I actually feel bad for her because she spent her 40th birthday with me and I wasn't the most thoughtful gentlemen. She had to bring her own cake.

#*lina: Tinder 32 7: This girl was sweet as could be. I love photography and I shot her many times around the city. We kissed and groped but that was all even though she was in my apartment twice. A refugee (if that is the right word) of the Eastern Ukraine fight I was shocked to hear she was pro Russia. But that is how it goes. Expect the unexpected when it comes to politics. We should have gone much further, like the vegan girl but I ran out of time and had to prioritize my evenings into the most likely candidates for LTR. She was a bit too old at 32 and didn't exercise as much as I would require. Still a sweetheart and I edit her beautiful shots via iMac and send them to her one by one.

Parting thoughts: Two weeks would have been Ideal. I think I could have pulled 2 more visitors if I had more time. Living here and social circle yields the best but is hardest, followed by tinder. With one year of experience, I do believe there are good relationship minded girls on Tinder looking for foreign men. Daygame yielded me nothing in a year as I did many approaches early in my time there, as nighttime only yielded me Instagram followers. I actually cut of really good prospects only because of time. Yes, I really love Russian girls for many reasons. I find them to be very sweet and caring, not to mention feminine. My family history is Russian, and girls often believe that they are completing their destiny and aligning with heritage. I find their accent incredibly hot and personalities a match for me. Their desire to remain beautiful is unsurpassed in the Western world. Like I told my younger brother today at a wedding we attended, "Before you get married, make sure you walk down the streets of Moscow or Kiev. Until you do, you won't be making an informed decision."
