It doesn't surprise me that beiber is pulling that kind of quality. They are an ideal match. The amount of chicks that want to be with beiber is in equal proportions to the amount of guys that want to bang that hot piece of ass. I think that's what everyone here should be focusing on - trying to understand what is attractive to other guys, not only based on their own individual and national/regional preferences.

Understanding someone's background and cultural preferences allows you to get a lot more out of a datasheet than otherwise. So instead of taking my comments as criticism, which they are not, some valuable intel. can be gained. For example, my earliest post in this thread: "I've also noticed that guys who like Latinas usually like Hungary, and prefer Southern Russia (including Ukraine) over Northern Russia."


I think Excelsior has nailed it - one needs to take into account social constructs to understand why this Latina, who can be considered a 9 in the Americas and Africa, may not be anything special in other parts of the world.

The way I rationalised my 6-7 (probably 6.5 on review) is as follows: the video below shows my idea of what an 8 should be, especially the one on the right. Using that as a benchmark, I have to say that Bieber's girl is at least 1.5 points lower for:
- comical proportions (the oversized butt and legs are not attractive to me, and a couple of guys I asked today have confirmed that I'm not the only one with that view)
- ho-hum face
- hair and makeup need a lot of work
- can't dress herself

Probably a bit of both, but there is a healthy genetic component to it. West Africans have been known to generally maintain a stronger preference for more exaggerated waist-to-hip ratios. Maliah is an icon in black America, so much so that you'll hear her name dropped regularly by prominent artists in extremely popular mainstream songs. Lizard of Oz was attempting to talk about "objective" standards of beauty and said that one could "objectively" define "true" beauties (what he considered "the elite of the elite") by examining their ability to intimidate men with their appearance in an almost forbidding way, the kind of way that can stop male movement in a given environment (club/party, wherever).

In the urban community, the women with that kind of power do not look like Candice Swanepoel (34 hips). They actually don't look quite like Yovanna Ventura either (she's thick, but not especially so by urban/hip-hop standards - those hips are probably not quite 40+). They look like Maliah, Deelishis and the other women above - if you do not have a tiny waist to go along with very large hips (40+), you're probably not going to be considered elite in the urban community.

On the other hand, I'm sure many of you dudes consider the girls I posted above to be much too thick to be "elite", and might even go as far as to say they're 6s at best (as Teedub claimed with regard to Maliah).

The comparisons I'm making above using the urban community mark just one example I'm using to illustrate differences in mate preference. Go to Latin America, East Asia, South Asia, Africa, etc and you'll find plenty of other variations in plenty of different communities and cultures.

Again, there are consistencies (everyone likes youth, everyone likes a good waist-to-hip ratio, just about everyone favors longer hair, etc), but beyond those basic similarities you're going to get a lot of subjectivity. That's the kind of subjectivity that can make a difference in any debate guys have about girls like Yovanna Ventura (short, reasonably thick, dark Latina) and Candice Swanepoel (tall, very slim, fair European).
