Why I rarely delete numbers
I've collected so many pointless numbers over the years, that I really keep saying I need to go through my phone and clean things up. That still hasn't happened. Maybe if I get a new phone, I'll just start fresh... maybe.

Anyway, Saturday night I was hanging out with some friends, they were trying to get a party going, but that just didn't happen. So at about 2:30am (in retrospect slightly later than the ideal time) I sent out a mass text, with just one word "Hello"

I sent this to 13 girls I hadn't talked to in months... FIVE replied within 5 minutes, and one replied the next morning. That's a pretty solid 46% return for a meaningless text.

Of the six that replied, only two didn't know who I was, one of which still gave me a shot to guess where we met (I couldn't remember) before saying I might have the wrong number... I actually figured it out the next day and remembered how high maintenance she was, that one I am deleting.

I worked on the other ones and tried to decide which one would be most DTF, and hung out with her that night. Unfortunately, I chose poorly, and although we hung out, I didn't get the bang.

I also found out one of them moved a bit closer, and one of them just broke up with her boyfriend last week; one of the first things she let me know.

So, win-win all around. I strongly advise keeping some of the numbers you collect and tossing out a random message like mine on an otherwise wasted night, every now and again. Even if they don't respond to the first one, you might try again in a couple months (remember the one just broke up with her boyfriend) hoping to catch them at a better time, before finally deleting them.

I know some vets will disagree, and say delete the number as soon as the lead goes cold, but it takes the same amount of time to send a mass text like mine as it does to delete the number, and only one method might lead to a bonus bang.

My guide for newbies to RVF.

This is one of my cardinal rules. But, if you're going to follow this kind of system, you have to make sure you add parentheticals (or last names, if you have them) to distinguish them later.

Yep. I've been contacted by broads two years later, after breakups and such. If deleted I'd have no clue who they are.

Even with the name it can be difficult. lolzzzz

Deleting takes a lot of work, unless its a massive flake you have to delete for pure satisfaction. When I enter them into my phone, I put 'Ladies' as the company in the 'company' field. That way when I send a mass text I just send to the group "Ladies"

If memory serves me well, that's actually an online chick who claimed to be good at trivia in her profile. That one is foggy.

RE: Why I rarely delete numbers
This topic has definitely been covered before.

The general consensus is to not delete.

I started the mass text thread to deal with how to re ignite cold numbers.

I've had several bangs that resulted in hitting up girls that didn't reply for months, but one day responded to my messages.

If you have a smart phone, it doesn't hurt to just leave the number in there. I think I've got something like three hundred numbers in my phone right now including girls I've banged and girls I've yet to bang.

For the girls that I've banged, I put a "z" in front of their names.

The only time I delete a number is when the girl makes it clear that she really wants me to stop contacting her. By making it clear, I don't mean tacitly not responding but when she actuall texts you to stop contacting her.

Even then I will respond to her and push for her to reconsider.

RE: Why I rarely delete numbers
I always delete now. Because I drink a lot and usually have a laugh with the guys and send out texts asking if I can get some full penetration tonight.

But when I would keep the numbers it would usually look something like:
Sarah - Slut from Horgans
Stine - Swedish slut
Christie - big tits
Alyssa - bitch from St.patricks day
Anna - Poor personal hygiene
Rachael - Only if you're desperate

The less fucks you give, the more fucks you get.

RE: Why I rarely delete numbers
I see. Now I won't consider any number as "dead" unless the girl specifically tells me to stop texting her.

Many times I delete the numbers and convo out of frustration but now I think I could've review the message history and observe some possible mistakes I made.

They can put you on the blocked list too if they really don't want to talk to you, make them work one last time.

They can't sue you for harassment over this right?

RE: Why I rarely delete numbers
In December I met a chick and got her number. It was radio silence when I texted her. I got ready to delete her number, but ended up forgetting about it until later.

When January rolled around she hit me up in the middle of the night. We made plans for the next day and I hit it.

Never delete numbers.

I once texted a girl to hang out and got a response "Sure, why not". When I told my friend about that he went pale for five seconds and told me that she died in a car crash three months prior. I delete numbers after that, fuck these zombie bitches.

RE: Why I rarely delete numbers
Couple weeks ago chick gave me number at a bar. Texted her few days later. No response. I thought the number was fake, said fuck it and deleted her contact.

Yesterday I saw her lone number still in my phone. I was in a good mood so I figured I would call. Long behold, she picked up. Talked for a bit and tried to set up a date. She said she'll 'let me know' her schedule. So whatever. She could have just said she's not ready for some brown cock but she didn't.

RE: Why I rarely delete numbers
The other time I will delete a number is if I've noticed that I've been texting back and forth with a girl consistently for a few months but no meet up has taken place. This can happen very insidiously if you are sending out mass texts and get some girls just respond to everyone of them.

They are attention leaches and have no intention of ever meeting up, and by now you've already made your self look completely beta by texting so much with them with out meeting.

Same goes for some girls that will swap nude pics with you, but keep holding out on the meet up. They want to keep their distance from you but also want the attention validation.

I'm thinking about getting rid of all these girls from my phone.

Or just keeping them in mass text but not replying to there replies for a while.

I use groups and move the girls to different groups depending on where we are at and what I think about her. Then you can just do a mass text to a group.

you can also just add their photo if you can find it.

If you got the number from tinder or okc, then just use that photo(take a screenshot with your phone).

If you can find their facebook photo, just use that(don't add them as a facebook friend obviously)

Then you don't have to use 'lindsay1', 'lindsay2' etc.

The same thing works for me.

I prefer to have my personal code system instead of writing stuff such as "Samantha Big Tits", since I never know when a girl or someone else will sneak in my phone - I take measures to prevent this, but some big damage can happen when this happens.

For example, if I meet Alice in a club called Diamonds, i will write "Alice D", and I will remember that we met there.

I have 5 Miriams in my phone.

The only reason I dont delete them is so I can say I have 5 Miriams on my phone. I have no memory of who they are, and they have never replied to my texts.

Since I travel a lot, I also have some city designation such as LA, BR. Makes it easy to search by location.

I use the name of the club, restaurant, hotel, etc where we met, for their last names. Just makes it easier to remember.

Good point, I never got that great results but if I was hanging out late with friends or even got home from bar alone and didn't feel like calling it a night I'd start texting, was always generally able to get a few responses and get someone to come over or go out for some drinks. Something I used to do mainly b/c I had a gf at the time but actually worked out pretty well was I had a burner phone I'd use for any random numbers. Not really necessary but makes it easy to seperate numbes I got at bars from friends and colleages

This has always been an exercise in restraint for me, but recently I have been keeping #'s a little while longer just to let the scenario fully play itself out.

RE: Why I rarely delete numbers
I keep # in my phone. I'll message them a few times. If no response or flakes I'll take a screen shot of their number and name then move the picture to a folder in my DropBox called CONTACTS. Then I'll delete their number off my phone to eliminate clutter.

Lately I've had random numbers messaging me out of the blue so its convenient to go to my DropBox Contacts folder and just scan through who it could be. I think ever since I've gotten better facebook profile pictures of me doing cool shit girls seem to be more interested.

Also what you can do is just put the number with the area code into your facebook search and sometimes the person will show up even if they're number is hidden on their profile.
