Clearly I'm the stupidest person in the world! Several times I've gotten a slight variation of the above. I've called a girl, they've said "hola", I've introduced myself, and the line has gone dead. I'll call back and get the voice mail. And I'm thinking to myself "boy does cell phone technology suck in Colombia". Yeah, I'm an idiot! What would we do without you Mixx???

Usually any man over 40 who dreams of dating 18 year olds for a LTR, also needs to realize she is with him for financial security $$$, and of course, being spoiled in ways that 20 year old guys cannot spoil her.

It's all about pump and dump. I'll be 40 in 5 years, so I have already adjusted my expectations with 18yo's. And will treat them as such temporary toys.

Ha, ha that's a good point. Part of the "problem" is that I'm looking for a serious relationship. And it's hard to find quality women in Colombia closer to my age who don't already have kids. And I'm definitely not raising someone else's kids.

To bee seen with a gringo that is on a short-term sexcation has a stigma attached to it, so the affluent folks see it as lower value.

Well I'm living here so I'm not on a sexcation. That being said, I'm not working, I'm living off my investments (which won't last forever) so I'm probably not the most attractive catch for a rich colombian.

I'm Colombian, so feel free to ask whatever you want on Colombian chicks. Mixx's been pretty dead on about most things.

I for one don't get along with most Colombian chicks for the very same reasons that have been exposed above. In Colombia, and in Medellin specially, everything is for sale, so don't expect any intelectual depth more that sheer sex motivated by how much do you own. It's capitalist sexuality at its highest point. Also don't fuck without a condom cuz they WILL get pregnant to blackmail you with the baby (had a few expat friends go through that). Those we call "Cazadoras de Visa" (Green Card Hunters), they dream of marrying a "gringo" to go live abroad. Oh and beware... God hath not made women more charming than Colombian ones, they know EXACTLY what to tell men and to be a lot sweeter and warmer than what the foreign gentlemen are used to. So like Ulysses, get some wax into your eardrums...

Also in Colombia, I have to say that in our culture reliability in keeping appointments is not our national priority (sad bu true), so make that 100X for chicks. If girls are flakey in the States, you ain't seen nothing yet!!

Finally, "pija" or "concha" are not colombian words. If you want to tell a girl that's she's teasing and misleading call her "calienta huevos" (egg warmer) egg being... or a "calceta" (flake)

True, but then I wasnt a sex tourist i was living in Medellin, and it was one of the first things I would tell a girl, that I lived there. I guess it depends on the mentality of the guy there. A sex tourist or a gringo living there.

Dude, if you are not Colombian, wait make that if you are not even Hispanic in Colombia, you are a sexcation tourist by default. Unless you can dish out a Colombian cedula de extranjeria, you are there to enjoy sex and all women know this. Don't be fooled into thinking they don't just because you say you "live there". Many players spit that line, but girls know better. Granted we are talking about the higher value stratus 6 women. Poor girls from the lower end barrios will believe anything or could care less.
