Evening forum,

Thought Id post an update on my status hustling for those interested. So far have parlayed 1500$ total from UBER. Just invested it all into more product.

Using the "2 for 1" deal I will benefit as described below hehe:

Initial Investment: 1500$
Boxes Received: 30
Individual Units: 30 x 12 = 360 E Hookahs
Retail price: 15$ x 360 Units = 5400$ Gross
Profit: 5400$ Gross - 1500$ I.I = 3900$ Profit*
*Keeping in mind the 1500$ I.I was mostly Gross from prior sales

Scaling up to keep up with demand and my new retail orders. Have started to build a pyramid with distributors underneath me and plan to corner the North Western Market in the short term, Majority of business is coming from the major Uni's in my region and my email is blowing up with order requests from my classified ads (Scaled those up, Multiples in Each Major City)

Since you say most of your customers are college students how to you go about advertising and selling them in campus?

I'm currently in a Uni campus of around 20,000 but I don't want to jump in and make the investment right away as I am tight on money. I want to get flyers going and spreading the word before I buy the product that way by the time I get the product I already have a line of customers waiting.

What do you recommend?

IMO to me they seem a little overpriced for $15 but I haven't seen them or tried them so I can't really conclude anything but yet again it might also just be that since I personally wouldn't buy it, it kinda sets a bias to my decision, there's obviously a market for it and people will pay the amount as you've noted.

Morning. The CEO of Uber Vape Spencer Benterud sent me some promo strategy information that got my hustle rolling a little faster. A marketing guide so to speak. If you email [email protected] and ask for the guide he will hook you up.

But here is what I did:

Got in touch with my college friends/lays. Got the low down on the smoking demographic and the habits of the target market. Priced accordingly (15$) and hooked up distibutor/friends in college with a free sample and had them spread the word, generated some word of mouth buzz that way that lead to additional orders/interest.

A good amount of business came from classifieds though, in my area its called kijiji.ca and you can buy a top banner slot for 10$ a month. Received 40% of my business through that alone (including the convenience store I sell to now)

Flyers are 100% a great tool for marketing. Included in the info UBER will send you is a poster ready to be printed and posted on campus. If your short on cash I recommend maybe partnering with a friend? or borrowing some cheddar? Cant offer advice there sir.

"IMO" your right, but then again are you a smoker? and lack of trial with the product of course. Once you try it you'll believe in it and understand why people buy it. It is a quality product and I did have my own reservations originally. A Uni of 20k is a great place to hustle assuming its not a smoke free campus that bans even e cigs? But then again a smoke free campus would theoretically send sales through the roof. Just remember there is no nicotine so technically its not a tobacco product.

Do you mentioned on your classifieds that they are UBER brand? Someone like the convenience store owner would likely be able to contact them directly if they saw that, wouldn't they?

This is great mate, unfortunately for us in the UK, these sort of products have been touted around for 3 years now, there's lots of websites selling e-hookahs and e cigarettes that come in a variety of fruity and coffee flavours. There's huge competition but you've given me an idea for europe, thanks.

Correct yeah, but I dont mention their website so they assume I am a distributor.

No problem sir! You got more people than e cigs though so even if the market is saturated its all about marketing, here theres quite a few brands but with the 8's and up in college smoking them the sheeple soon follow.

Just wondering when you sell them to convenience stores, do you still charge them $15 a unit or you reduce the price since your selling them the whole box?

I'm guessing you charge them a tad less? or else if you sell them for $15 do they raise the prices to make a profit?

So far Iver kept my price at 15 a unit 150 a box. I think they raise it to 19.99 if I am correct.

Is this the kind where you change the cartridge that has different flavours? Or do you just get a new e-cig each time? The ones that I have seen have refills. You switch them up if you want a different flavour, and when it runs out, you buy a new refill vial.

When did you order it? I was going to buy the 2 for 1 deal today but it's no longer available, only the 1 for $99 or the get 2 and 1 free deal but but my budget wont allow me to get that one.

By the way i'm in the US and I was being charged $20 for shipping on checkout, I thought it was free shipping in NA. It stopped me in my tracks and now I don't know if I should just buy one order of 12 units for $99 or just wait and maybe they make the 2 for 1 available again.

Hmm I emailed and there buy 1 get 2 will be available again tomorrow. Regarding the shipping....Hmm was it the currency exchange? their a canadian based company so I dont know if that makes a difference. But check back tomorrow I cant even get on the site right now so they might be updating it.

I'm not 100% what's up with the shipping, I'm figuring the company is placing orders direct from the manufacturer, who's probably in china, so an international shipping charge is getting tacked on. It's possible they're taking more orders than their were house supports. Either way the online checkout did figure it in Canadian dollars, so be sure to factor all of that in. As for the 2/1 deal I ordered Tuesday night, but I confirmed it through their CEO. The website wasn't saying it was available, but a little game goes a long way, even in business. Beyond all that no real updates yet.

Actually update, I just got on the site. They did an update, neater navigation. But the 2/1 is on their drop down menu now so should be smooth sailing.

OMYG, dude there are tons of distributers for this stuff. check on ebay, alibaba, Ive always had good luck with ebay, heres my trick, ill look for who ever has a ton of them then contact them and make a sidedeal, back in the day i used to dropship direct from ebay to my customer, then the shippers would contact me and ask me to setup side deals. it all works..

JackFrost: Correct yeah, but I got fucked their because the China Manu's have shitty flavors where as Ubers flavor is designed and made in the USA then shipped to China for manufacturing. BTW will be posting an update on my last order status later tonight when I get home. It was profitable to say the least hehe.

Got it figured out guys thanks, apparantly they were updating the site and the deal was there.

About the shipping I contact Uber's CEO and he fixed the problem so its all good.

JackFrost that's a neat technique I might just try that. But for now I just got the 2 for 1 deal.

My plan is to present myself professionally to all liquor and convenience stores located around High Schools, then try my luck from there, they usually get a ton of traffic and since this stuff is nicotine free im sure it can be sold to underage teenagers. I'll report back.

I actually saw today big brother is unleashing the FDA on e-cigs of all varieties. Now the way I understand it is the FDA only has that kind of regulatory power over tobacco products (ie age limitation) however I think because it's consumable the push to have an ingredient list might apply. So just keep your eyes peeled for big gov to screw around with you OMYG, but as of today, here, and now, it's my understanding the law wouldn't conflict with that plan. Might be hard to convince the shop keeps of that though. Keep us posted brother.

I looked online but couldn't find anything reliable, so does anyone know if this stuff is legal for minors to buy? I want to get my facts straight before I go persuade any liquor store owners.

I've noticed a lot of people online confuse e-cigs with e-hookas, especially since some are and some aren't tabacco and nicotine free.
