Article and couldn't help notice how the majority of the other links did not mention race. Yet when it's a "minority" against another "minority" they put it... http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013...n-trayvon/

Yet other links did not mention race as well. A crime is a crime. This creation of white Hispanic versus minority versus god knows what is ridiculous. Especially when it comes to crimes. Hate crime is too biased to be considered. The Detroit white man beaten for stopping at a scene of an accident by a black mob was not considered a hate crime. Maybe it should be considered an opportunist crime so that they can steal his belongings (which they apparently did). Would the same happen had a 54 year old black man did it? Well probably in that area of Detroit. However, in a more safer part of town race would probably not be an issue. Even though lynching happened in the south years so doesn't make it right to continue this idiotic behaviour. Society will never grow if differences are settled or old vendettas are settled using violence. No progress will be made.

The media should describe the race, age and name if every person involved. No bias, just straight truth. Also hate crime should be abolished and any crime shoukd be punishable with the exact sentence for everybody (man,woman,black,Chinese whatever).

It's simply because people in westen culture are automatically outraged when race is involved/brought up as if race doesn't have a defining role in a person's very being. They're a mix of too sensitive and egalitarian but also racist.

Media has to make money too, they just do what consumers want and know how to reel people in. Although I agree with you on that last part. Punishment should be equal even if we aren't.

This dovetails with the discussion in this thread: /thread-34549-page-11.html. Why not post it there?

Also White Hispanics weren't just "created" for the Zimmerman/Martin incident. I guess you don't live in an area with a concentration of Hispanics; some have more Euro blood and others African, i.e. Ricky Martin (Puerto Rican) and David Ortiz (Dominican) are both Hispanic but Ortiz is as black as a tire.
