My experience is that Viber is by far the most popular, and most girls that have Whatsapp will have Viber too anyways. Also, Viber is the overall better and more streamlined app, in terms of actually messaging.

It has photos, stickers, and drawing all really well integrated into the app. Snap a pic of your pool or something fun you're doing, send a sticker of a cartoon cat with boxing gloves, draw a picture on the touch pad of a dick with hairy balls and cum shooting out. This is how you talk to Filipinas, not these deep intellectual conversations that some guys struggle to have and then condemn the girls for.

Whatsapp has the advantage of being a sort of dating site/social media-lite, but I also get absolutely harassed by gay guys on there who will message me "hi" every day for weeks unless I go in and block them. I've used a majority of the sites and apps here, and Whatsapp is the only one I've had this problem with.

I do agree that Whatsapp is probably a little more higher class on average, which I'm guessing is mostly because it has a strong foothold in China and there's a lot of Chinese blood among the Filipino elite.

How do the gays get your whatsapp number?
Enigma 路 2014-12-06 16:55:00 路 #1028
Because Whatsapp has social media features, and you can search for people close to you.

EDIT: I just realized I'm thinking about WeChat Laugh Their logos are really similar with the green messaging bubbles. This is exactly why I just stick to Viber.

Ignore the stuff I said about "Whatsapp".

Yeah, i hate wechat, i never saw anything but ladyboys, prostitutes and real estate agents on there

Heard from a few girls that there is a typhoon currently affecting the Phils. Mostly the central Visayas region as usual is the most touched. Heavy winds and tons of rains in MNL from what Girls have told me.

How bad is this typhoon? Hoping it won't be another Yolanda...breaks my heart hearing this!

Be safe boys out there!
YardDog 路 2014-12-07 00:40:00 路 #1031
There's no rain or wind yet in Manila. The center is going to pass over Mindoro, the island south of Luzon.

They're predicting 130-150mm of rain in Manila which will make it flood I'm sure. But in Legazpi the rainfall amounts are expected to go north of 400mm.

It's not as powerful as Yolanda and there has been no fatalities reported so far. Really good news.

I think the big issue is its slow movement and rainfall, which causes the flooding and landslides. It's be downgraded to a cat 2-3.

Yeah, hope everyone in the Phils is safe. I know one member is going to be stuck in Palawan. What's up buddy! haha. Not a bad place to be stuck...

shit, they updated the rainfall forecast for Manila to 300mm. Monday and Tuesday are going to be rough. Confused

Yeah man, wechat is Chinese garbage.

I guess it's popular in the provinces of the Philippines, but I don't know anyone that uses it. At least that's what my friend that does market research says.

If you're in Manila you should use both Whatsapp and Viber. Lots of girls use Whatsapp but overall Viber is more popular. Many career and upper class girls like Whatsapp. I like it too, it's good shit.

Yeah, I am partial to WhatsApp from my Dominican travels.

I am more than happy to have another mechanism to weed out hoodrat chicks.

I would prefer not to hassle with WeChat (and it sounds like I shouldn't have to) and would prefer not to cough up my Facebook.

So good to hear that WhatsApp and Viber can provide adequate coverage.

Not many people here use it, I just jumped on after I found out you could search and message people in your area from one of the China threads.

It's actually not bad in that regard, there are some decent chicks that are willing to meet up. I'm sure the selection is a lot better in Manila.

WeChat has a people nearby feature which is handy. I met two Filipinas who became steadies when I was in Doha and Dubai that way.
The Reactionary Tree 路 2014-12-09 03:18:00 路 #1037
I relied heavily on Viber in Manila. Most chicks use it. WhatsApp was also somewhat popular. Another app I used was Line but that wasn't very popular. I used Skype in my pipelining efforts as well.

Anyone know why Cotabato cit is blocked on filipinocupid? Seriously I wanted to search up there, but it is blocked. The city can't be any worse than Marawi or Zamboanga, both of which are allowed on the site.
Kabal 路 2014-12-29 19:42:00 路 #1039
Took less than five hours from plane touching-down to touching-down inside a pipeline prospect.

What are some good up-to-date nightlife spots for The Fort/Bonifacio Global City?

And are they good for all seven days of the week?

So far I have Prive, Haze on my list of places to hit.

What time at night is good to go out for a club here?
Kabal 路 2014-12-31 16:13:00 路 #1040
Additionally, how do I reload a SMART card?

The list of load machines is here:

But given how limited that selection is that can't possibly be the only way to do it ad hoc with cash!

I am in BCG/The Fort.
Brodiaga 路 2014-12-31 16:31:00 路 #1041
^^

If by SMART, you mean the sim card for your cell phone, just go to 7/11 or any other convenience store and ask the cashier to add money to your balance.

Places to go out: I know very, very little about the Fort, but I went to a new club called Valkerie on a Saturday night with two RVFers and it was fun. Mostly upper class Filipinos. Then there's Prive where I haven't been. Next to Prive, a bunch of bars and restaurants.

Has anyone stayed at the Luxent Hotel in Quezon City? How is it?

Can attest to this also, have met a couple of girls this way here in Taiwan.

Between Globe and Smart, which is better for someone who's planning on doing some travel? (Manila, Cebu, Palawan, Bohol, Boracay, etc.) Internet speed is more important than call quality.

They both cost something like $5. Buy both. In some places I had to swap them to check which one worked better.

He will shut down this entire country.

Moreso than Obama shutting it down.

I need to GTFO before it's too late.

Manila Helicopter Tour

If you are in the Philippines, you can upgrade your FilipinoCupid account for less cash. It will only cost you 1200 pesos($26) and the savings go up the more months you sign up. Instead of the 35.99 to 39.99 in American Dollars if you are outside the country. Good way to save money.
