"Prostate is a gland found in male mammals, but prostrate, with an r, means to lie face down"

But on topic, ejaculating in the range between never and non-stop is likely to be better for you than either extreme.

Yep - wank alot - and you reduce your chances of getting prostate cancer.

Has to be wanking.

Sex doesn't count - since sex increases you likelihood of getting other types of diseases (including some cancers - I believe). And the angle of ejaculation from masturbation does a better job of cleaning out your prostate.

I won't take any medical advice seriously until I see posters telling men to have their '"five-a-day".

Seems most medical advice is about trying to nanny you out of having fun as opposed to actually saving lives.

Also - I want to do a sponsored 'wank-a-thon' to raise money for Prostate Cancer and to promote masturbation.

Donate money today - and I promise to fill the bucket over the next week!

RE: Frequent ejaculation: minimize prostrate cancer?
As far as I now, there is no conclusive data to prove that a link exists between ejaculatory frequency and prostate problems. It's speculation at this point, nothing more.

From http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/463402 :
Quote:In my review of the literature, I found a number of studies with conflicting results, many of which were conducted using small populations and some with poor design. If there is a correlation between sexual frequency and prostate cancer, I think it is certainly only a small one. However, only a large, well-designed prospective trial would definitively determine risk.

The article is from 2003, I couldn't find anything more recent.

EDIT: This massive 8 year study claims there is no statistically significant correlation between ejaculatory frequency and prostate cancer (they did find that frequent ejaculators had slightly less cancer, but it was not statistically significant)
