Perhaps you need to filter your leads using what I think Mixx mentioned.

Get the girl on webcam to see what she really looks like.

Another filter is to remove girls who only have 1-2 pictures.

How do you search for people from a certain city on Facebook? Whenever I try and search for people from say Sao Paulo it only brings up friends of mines from SP, can't find any random strangers who I might want to befriend.

To be honest I didnt really put any thought or creativity into the initial message. Just a simple Oye! Como estas hoy? My pics and profile I think are more than enough to spark enough initial interest.

Yes, just type in a name in the search bar then select just people from the left hand side.

then filter the results by location. So pretty much have to search one name at a time which blows but it is the only option.

on top of that you can lose ur adding privilege by adding people you dont know or they dont know you.

On the left-hand side, click on "Friends". On the next page, click on "other tools", then "find friends, classmates, coworkers". This will take you to a screen that says "find friends from different parts of your life".

On the left hand side, it will list, "Hometown", "Current City", "High School", "Mutual Friend", "College or University" and "Employer". Three options will be listed for each of those categories, with corresponding checkboxes.

But there's also a box underneath each of the categories where you can enter your own selection. So under "Current City", you can enter Medellin, or Bogota or whatever city you're interested in. You can even enter multiple criteria - for example, you can enter medellin under "current city" and universidad de medellin under "college or university" and that will give you people living in medellin who attend(ed) the university of medellin. It will start by showing you friends of friends so you may have to scroll down a bit to find people.

That being said, there's no option to filter by age, relationship status, gender, etc.

Just tried that but it only brings up people who have a mutual friend for me. Just found that there are some people I know from different parts of the world, who don't know each other, yet have mutual friends. Small world.

Go into your profile, edit it and change where you live to the city that you want i.e Bogota Colombia.

Next click on friends, other tools, find friends classmates and co-workers. In the next page you have a bunch of check boxes down the left hand side. Check the one for your current city, in this case it would be Bogota. You then just get a huge list of profile pics that you can scroll through, so it's very easy just to scan them to see some hot girls which you could send a message.

Ummm....those are the exact same instructions I gave two posts above. With the exception of changing your city, which is an unnecessary step.

I think there was a problem with the system yesterday. It seems to be working better today. Of course, you still have to scroll through all of your "friends' friends" in a given city before facebook starts showing you random strangers.
