I'm not sure why but I have been using the saying "Strike while the iron is hot" a lot starting sometime last year. Its almost a on going joke when I say it now.

I also agree with your post. "Don't put off until tomorrow, who you can do today."

Prime example. One day I wake up to this hot little Mexican girl knocking on my door I had been texting with, she was young and still in Highschool (I was younger to) She came over before school and started making out with me pretty hard I shoved her into the wall and put my hand on her throat and she looked me in the eye and asked me if I was gonna fuck her in the ass. I said yes but not today, I sent her off to school and went back to bed. Never saw her again, her whole family just up and left.

I had something like this happen a couple months ago. Thought I had a girl in the bag and it was pretty sure thing I'd smash the next time we met. Then she got flakey and never heard from her again. Unfortunately I just wasn't able to hit the first time we met due to logistics.

I have unfortunately learned this hard way; over, and over again. I've met girls in the past, and thought: "Oh, she's really into me, so I can take it easy and call her in a week or two." Thankfully, I'm getting a little better.

Its more annoying when you meet a girl and you do try strike when the iron is hot and escalate until a definite no, and to the best of your knowledge she's into you as she initiates texting you the next day after meeting up.
So you try and arrange a meet up then they get really flakey not answering texts etc. It's annoying as to the best of your knowledge you played it well in person only for them to get weird when you try and meet up again.
