When I lived with my mom I saved 35 k one year. I literally saved every pay check and sold weed for spending money. Then I moved out on my own and developed a gambling problem. A year later I didn't have a dollar to my name and owed a bookie 5 k.

Now I save $100 dollar a pay check and have rent and bills to pay. Moral of the story is. Just saving money in general is a feat in its self.

So op if you are serious. Just work on saving it and not touching it. That's a feat in itself. Let it grow and read some money books and blogs in the mean time and see what's right for you.

Invest in some kind of sure thing stock that will grow your money from 10%-14% a year.

It's a slow process. I just want to be rich I don't want to wait 20 years of saving to get there. But such is life.
