Original Content 1: Attempt at recoding in DC
I decied to get off my ass and actually improve myself wrt women, because no one else cares or will do it for me. Today I decided I would metro down to Dupont Circle and attempt some day game. Needless to say it is harder than it sounds (for me). I read an e-book from another "PUA" (Assanova), and he basically talks about how confidence is the #1 thing (which we know), and that the way to build it is to keep doing things that make you uncomfortable (i.e. interacting with strange women on the street).

So this is really what I'm trying to do; to increase my confidence. In the process I am recording it. The video below is not a pick up, because I wasn't trying to get anything from her, although in retrospect I should have at least gotten her number if only for practice. Only by actually doing things will you learn from your mistakes.

Ok, on to the video. First, it is crap because the camera was at the wrong angle so you're only seeing the sky, not people's faces. I didn't realize this until I got home and saw the video. I have to experiment with placement on my coat to see where it should go, but that's for the next one. This was basically an asian chick I saw struggling with some suitcases. I walked beside her and got a look at her, but she wasn't that hot. Nevertheless, for some reason I opened her spontaneously, and helped her wheel a suitcase to her dorm. The video is the conversation we had up until her dorm, plus some commentary from me.

I hope you at least get some comedy value from it, and of course suggestions are always welcome. It runs about 6:30, so not too long.

I thought it was well done, you could have def gotten her number. Good batting practice.

Another challenge in DC.

I think it was Roissy that put it best....picking up girls in DC is like practicing for a marathon in the Himilaya's ...once you come back down from the clouds it all seems so easy. That is the truth too.

However that only pertains to American and some top notch foreign talent. This chick seems like you could have easily gotten her number. If she is from Mainland China, she actually seemed very open and talkative, atleast more than 90% of the Chinese girls I have ever talked to (not really interested in them though) so maybe I am biased.

Finally when you ended with the "...what's your name , take care..." you should have added a nice warm smile and let her know you were going to be around in the area for some coffee with a friend, or that you are often in the neighborhood and that sometime you would like to grab a drink. etc etc.

Wave

Whenever an approach ends with the guy saying "Thank you" or "Take care" then it's likely he ended it prematurely. You keep going until the girl bows out. At the minimum you could have continued.

Great for getting out there, are you using the spy gum camera?
What Roosh said. I noticed a huge change when I stopped being the one who bows out first, make that something you don't do (I cringe thinking how many times I did without knowing.. almost always... ughhh), forget being the nice guy who is hyper intuitive to the polite time to part.. same with eye contact, I used to look away first, now I hold it.. those two things changed a lot for me. Only leave or break eye contact if YOU want to; realize that if staying feels awkward it isn't the same as wanting to leave.
The only time I initiate leaving is when there really is a time constraint, my goal then is to exit at the PEAK of the conversation with something like "Hey it's been great, I'd like to see you again, what's the best way to get a hold of you?" if you do this at the peak it's almost always a #close, and they'll remember you from that moment.. even if it cuts your interaction a couple minutes short, it's better than risking it to dwindle then asking.
