For sure. At first I thought I fucked up because the oil sands thread wasn't anywhere in the results. There were a couple others I thought were locks, too.

Perhaps the 'like' button isn't the be-all, end-all indicator of quality, after all.

This is great since we've lost starred threads. I used to click "sort by rating" then read all the top threads for each forum. Maybe one day the stars will return since this thread won't have the buried threads that were golden before "likes" were implemented.

Hey guys, we all know that I spend most of my time here on this forum being a supportive shoulder for guys like El Mech to cry on when the bullying becomes too much and I don't get a chance to post much myself, but I wrote a post earlier that has gotten a lot of well deserved attention for it's philosophical depth, historical accuracy and high quality contribution to the forum as a whole.

Of course, I'm not the type to toot my own horn, but I think this post needs to be shared by as many people as possible and given that my post has just received 50 likes, it is definitely appropriate to use this thread to give in the exposure it deserves.

I won't waste any more time describing my esteemed post, but those who are serious about learning more about how the world really works can click here to read it.
