If she stayed with him till he died and kept putting out, I'd say that having her convince him to never destroy James Bond as we know him was a fair trade.

She actually fell while skiing and died a few years ago. Apparently he's doing the Taken movies to keep busy and take his mind off her death.

I think he would have been weird as James Bond, but certainly no worse than Roger Moore. And at least he's a big dude, unlike Pierce Brosnon or Timothy Dalton.

How the fuck could ANYONE want to marry a chick that would so brazenly try to fuck with your career? That motherfucker had only been doing really big movies for a few years at that point. What if he had fallen off after Schindler's List? What what she say then?

I think they wanted to get him for Goldeneye after Timothy Dalton pulled out. I think he would have made a great bond in his younger days, he has that nice mix of grit and suave. Not to mention that his ability to dominate and hold the screen is second to none.

Personally, I think Christian Bale would be an amazing 007. But after batman it's not likely to happen.
