Cant believe I never read this...

In another life this would be epic and a huge interest for me. Like someone said one of the best writeups on here. It is always interesting to see how small things are in this big world...heroin openly done and the party with tons of hash. Hospitality is top notch on a human level sad negative BS fucks things up all over.

Just read this and I have to say this is one of the most fascinating travel stories I've read in a while in here! Well done Chaos!
Btw, the pic of those guys escorting you, crazy how they look like Talibans! A less traveled guy would have panicked and starting thinking he was being captured and led to some hole in the mountain.

Regarding girls, had a couple of Pakistani buddies in Edmonton who were telling me provided you have local friends you can trust, you can easily find girls who will travel with you, cook for you, help you with translation and at night, bang you provided you paid her expenses along the way (food, shelter).

i would like to one day venture into these exotic locations such as Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan as I'm sure it's a going to be a hell of a human experience that few other places on Earth can match.

I have a potential business trip to Giljit area.

How would you suggest getting there?

I do not want to have to rely 100% on our Pakistani business associates if possible.

Two options.

1. Bus from Islamabad (20hrs+)
2. Flight from Islamabad. (1h)

Keep in mind that the flight might be delayed due to bad weather.
Be sure to spare some extra time for touristy/nature stuff.
The place is unlike any other place.
