If I had known I probably would have just flicked the guys ear and told him to beat it. I talked to the guy later and told him that was a bold move but how did he plan to pull the chick right in front of me.

He told me the first thing he asked her was if I was her boyfriend and she told him that we were friends. Which means nothing like what it would mean in the states....friends fuck friends in Colombia...what she was saying is we weren't novios which is absolutely true.

It still amazes me how romantic even young guys are these days.

When my friend told me we was getting married I knew immediately that he was going to go back to the states. That is the only reason to get married to your Colombian girlfriend....which is so you can bring her with you to the states.

The only reason he even had a full blown wedding was because it is her first marriage. He would have just as soon gone to the notary and gotten married....would have served the same purpose.

Could be I'm just a bit cynical....because I have been married four times myself. Once to stripper I met in a club in the States and three times to Colombian women. The third marriage didn't last long enough to make it worthwhile but I enjoyed the other three quite a bit. Marry for lust not love...might not last forever but it sure is fun while it does. jajaja

I realize most people probably don't see things quite the way I do but both of my parents have been married and divorced five times. And they were all american.

I don't know how you survived 4 marriages! That's the fast track to bankruptcy! Is he not concerned about support payments should they break up? That's the main reason I don't invite either of my girlfriends to Canada / get married. (Cuban gf's)

Good for him though. I was looking at colombian property the other day and it boggles my mind at how cheap a nice place can be had there.

I mean these guys are asking 302,000 for a penthouse in Medellin? That seems ridiculously cheap. In Toronto that would be million(s).

Four divorces and I have still not seen the inside of a divorce courtroom.

There is no alimony where I live and it is a no fault divorce state which means it is easy to get a divorce.
I don't know about Florida where my friend is going to live but the guy is smarter than I am when it comes to money and this is not his first wife so I'm pretty sure he knows how to protect his assets.

I don't know a thing about family law in Canada but there are tons of books on the subject of protecting your assets here in the US.

That said there isn't much you can do to protect yourself from child support. My friend had a vasectomy but he has his sperm on ice here which might be another reason why he is bringing her to the States. No matter how well you protect your assets there is just no way around child support.

Gringo + attractive woman...there weren't many gringos there. You said he was your best friend. The best man in the wedding looks identical to him (his brother)...if he was your brother you would've said "my brother and best friend" or "my brother".

I assumed you weren't Colombian and are white skinned. There were about 5 gringos there from the pictures I saw. I scrolled through pretty quickly.

I have a good memory though and remember basically anything I read after reading it once. I believe you've said you were 50ish and like slim woman. That knocks off the foreigner on the far left of the photo as shes thick (attractive though). The guy to the left of the groom looks 40ish. The guy with grey hair, is with a pretty girl but again shes a bit thicker. The best man appears to be his brother.

In all honesty...I think you posted an album on the forum of you with girls a few years back. I could be wrong about this but I think it was you who made an album post.

In Canada if I were to bring a Cuban girl here I'd be liable for 3 years or 5 years of welfare payments to my understanding (that isn't important) but the spousal support is the bigger issue. I don't practice Family law though and while I've taken the class the only thing I really spent the time to learn was the division of assets upon marital breakdown. I don't trust prenuptial agreements even though to my understanding they are typically upheld.

Plus I'd like to have kids abroad and move down south in my 40s. If I had kids here that wouldn't be realistic..

Edit: personally I prefer the looks over the wife of the groom after seeing those pictures.

Colombia is 7 to 1 women to men. With some of the best looking women on the planet.
Guys looking like shrek walking around with girls off the chain. Here, Venezuela, and brazil have some crazy euro Indio mixture. Probably reason they do so well in Ms universe pageants, look to see last 10 years of who the winners were and what countries they hail from. It then becomes no mystery.

I live in medellin, I own that apartment that guy from Toronto linked. I go to the movies and I crack up at the Pocahontas looking chicks in there headbands. When I leave medellin I'm ruined I pack my dick back up into a box and will not even look at the walmart society of the states by my house. I go back for family only in short doses.
