Ha ha. This made me laugh. Damn straight. I know that's how I feel.

The US government is a beast. Nothing really quite like it in world history.

The part I highlighted reminds me of that Chris Rock quote from Bigger and Blacker.

Quote:Gays in the military. Everybody got all homophobic. "Oh, don't let them in." Hey, they want to fight, let them fight 'cause I ain't fightin'! I wouldn't care if I saw a Russian tank on Flatbush Avenue. I'm not fightin' nobody.

The reason you want a gun is not to fight the government since if things have gotten to that point, you are going to need a hell of a lot more than guns to fight them off.

The reason you need a gun is if you get in a SHTF scenario and you need to fight off other people. Just ask the Korean shopkeepers if they needed guns during the LA riots:

As for Venezuela, I hope Maduro steps down. Not so much because of corruption but because of incompetence. He is running the Venezuelan economy into the ground. Hopefully, the protestors can keep up the pressure and force him to leave office.

I'm not familiar with the political situation there, so I'm just hoping that Venezuela emerges as a stable-enough country to travel to.

Lots of fine white-latinas there, if the few I've seen on online dating sites are representative.

Being relatively close by (I live in Colombia), I've done a little bit of online gaming with Venezuelan girls in the past, just to gauge the level of misery and violence over there. I haven't done it recently, but I was kind of surprised at how happy and content the girls always seemed. Latinas by nature seem to have a high tolerance for poverty and violence, and by and large they seemed to have a lot of pride and love for their country.

You're right about Venezuelans being beautiful; they tend to resemble Colombian coastal girls (most of Venezuela is coastal, so I guess it stands to reason). But Caracas will likely never be really safe. My brother is a pilot who used to fly into Caracas like 20 years ago when Venezuela wasn't as much of a basket case, and he used to carry an extra wallet with a few bucks and an expired ID in case he got mugged... even behind the security scanners. I mean damn, even the pilots get mugged?? It's one of those cities where you start hearing gunfire as soon as the sun goes down, more or less every night unless you're up in the rich compounds. The rest of Venezuela might be better, although I hear Maracaibo is sketchy as hell too.

1. more rifles
2. more tech in general to make all kinds of explosives. You think IED's in Iraq and Afghanistan are something, wait until you see what Americans can build
3. more and better trained long distance shooters
4. the politicians and generals directing the military are not beyond reach - better believe that will give them pause before ordering troops to fire on Americans. There will be no place in this country that will be safe for traitors and their families.
5. the troops - many will defect and bring their gear with them before turning on Americans

I could go on, but I get that many Americans are so cowed by America's military that they have already resigned themselves to being able to do nothing but hope and pray the federal government never becomes tyrannical. For those paying attention, history teaches us differently - a minority of determined men can make all the difference in the world.

All of the above bravado sounds nice and dandy on the Internet. I am glad that you have more faith in your fellow Americans than I do. On this forum we can't even agree what "Red Pill" even means, do you think people are even going to know what "tyrannical Federal government" even looks like? In some circles, some say we passed that point decades ago. NSA probably has like 50k employees and only 1 of them had the balls to expose the blatant violation of the constitution. Everybody else didn't want to make any waves, never forget that for most people trinkets/money trumps everything:

When I lived in NYC, I would have agreed with you. Living down south and having met many 'country boys' and ex-mil, I have an entirely different perspective now.

I, too, used to think phrases like "cold dead hands" were mere internet bravado. For many, they are not.

No foreign military would dare step foot into this country outside of perhaps the most liberal cities, even at the invitation of the POTUS and Congress. Far too many Americans including myself would view this as an act of war and act accordingly.
