The political unrest and rioting in Venezuela is off the scale right now.

For a week now I have been seeing shit you won't believe being posted by Venezuelan friends of mine on FB.

None of this shit is in the news. Why?

Apart from one BBC story I haven't seen anything.

Should I post up some of the stuff they have been putting on FB?

It is the news. I saw an article in a major paper about some local femle model getting shot in the head or something. As expected, once a pretty girl or gay gets hurt it becomes news.

Well shit, my second ex-wife is visiting her family in Venezuela right now! The story is getting some coverage here in south Florida, but for obvious reasons.

I saw at least 6mins dedicated to it on CNN this tuesday. Still the whole thing is overshadowed by whats currently going on in Kiev and the Olympics in sochi. It would probably get more attention on a slower newsweek.

It's going in in parts of Turkey, and Ukraine as well. If it doesn't involve celebrities or pageant winners the American media won't cover it.

There is a report here about the violence spreading to Valencia where the local beauty contestant got shot in the head by a motorcyclist.

The people's vote is as good as the ability of the people to back it up with force. As Chairman Mao said, "Political power grows from the barrel of a gun". He understood it well, which is why he made sure his government had a monopoly on violence, and why the statists in America are so hell bent on doing the same here.

Ha ha, you do realise that Caracas is the murder capital of the world, right?

You know what that means? Tons of guns. I could get hold of a gun in Caracas far easier than in the US.

PS I am from the UK. People don't have guns there. Neither do the police. Result? Police don't shoot citizens. Weird huh?
