Question Introducing strangers to the Forum
Today was a sunny warm day so I drove to the beach. I saw a young guy there who had taken a ratchet strap and hung it between two pillars on the pier and was trying to tight rope walk across it. It looked interesting enough so I walked over and asked him if I could try. He was real nice and told me to go ahead and I talked to him for awhile (I eventually broke one of the straps & busted my ass, he was cool about it tho)
When we were talking he said sometimes girls want to come try it and seemed pretty happy when he said that. He was kind of awkward guy but super nice and it made me think "Should I tell him about the Roosh Fourms?" He seemed like he might could really benefit from the information on here. I decided to tell him about the site but when I went to do it I got fucking approach anxiety... I dunno why, I was just like is it gonna be weird, is he gonna think I'm hitting on him... I'm not sure wtf happened but I just ended up shaking his hand and walking away. I did however decide to go to my car and write down the name of the forum and my user name and give it to him, which I did.
It had me thinking on the ride home how come I have never done it before. Then wondering if maybe it was a bad thing, who knows what kind of people I may be promoting this site to. On the other hand I feel like the information on this site could help any young guy live a better lifestyle. It's the first time I ever openly referred someone to the Forums here.

What do you guys already here think about recommending RooshV to strangers or guys who seem like they could really use some information on this site? Do any of you recommend it to people you don't really know? Have you recommended RooshV to someone?

ninja edit: Shit... he is prally gonna see this and see that I called him "a little awkward" If you are reading this bro you I mean no disrespect, you were cooler then most people on that beach and I am glad I got to try my tightrope skills out there!

RE: Introducing strangers to the Forum
I was in London a few weeks ago (during the tube strikes), and had to catch a taxi to a job interview. I was speaking to my driver, and it got pretty heavy, (him talking about how his ex-wife turned most of his kids against him and he feels stuck in a rut). He seemed like a cool guy, and I was trying to help him out, and trying to help get a positive mindset/ get into a positive spiral, so I told him about the forum and my username. Don't know if he joined.

RE: Introducing strangers to the Forum
I would recommend it to guys who have either hit rock bottom before or are currently there and/or took a major blow in relation to women. This forum is for those kinds of people. If a girl hadn't fucked me over I wouldn't be here.

RE: Introducing strangers to the Forum
I think this forum would be like throwing someone in the pool. I'm not really big on the whole spectrum of manosphere blogs, but if there was one that was Cheateau-Lite, that would be a good introduction to this kind of stuff. A forum carries a weird stigma with a lot of people.

I haven't done this with strangers...but I will actively look for opportunities now. The probelm is that it is a high risk venture, because people who do not swallow it will likely actively try to sabotage you. There is really a very narrow middle ground.

RE: Introducing strangers to the Forum
I've thought about it, but as far as I know, none of the guys I recommended it to have joined. Which, by the way, is curious considering that I've supposedly referred atleast one member:

I did refer one friend to the blogs of Roosh and Roissy, I know he read a few articles, not sure if he does anymore though. I'm guessing not considering his relations with women are about the same as they were before.

I have sent articles from ROK to friends, and Roissy's 16 Commandments of Poon. I've even referred some of my married Christian friends to Dalroc, but I haven't mentioned RVF. Hell, I found this place by accident before spring 2010, and lurked until later that year.

RE: Introducing strangers to the Forum
I was hanging out with few friend a few weeks ago. I flippantly mentioned that I should just quit my job and travel eastern Europe chasing tail. He said, "Oh, like that Roosh guy." We then spent the next 20 minutes talking about girls with short hair. It made me wonder how many others know about this site but don't, for obvious reasons, actively discuss it.

I think it's a very small subset of people who 1) don't get girls 2) have not lost hope and wish to change that fact 3) ignore their friends (oftentimes beta) advice on how to get laid 3) are open minded enough delve into the "deep dark world of misogyny that is the Roosh V forums.

Pretty much. Except change ignore to manipulate beta friends for me. I also did get girls but was not skilled in day or night game. Social circle game abuse, but then again I'm a previously traumatized unique case.

Only share the forum for guys who are already showing red pill behaviors or tendencies. Do not give this forum to a blue pill guy you are trying to enlighten. He just won't get it. Maybe a targeted ROK post would be better that is related to his specific problem.

No doubt. I can see a blue pill guy joining the forum after reading a few posts, then he starts a thread decrying our beliefs and is swiftly banned.

I refuse to try and help anyone with girls unless they ask me for it. I'm done with guys judging me for being a pervert and speaking my mind about women. We are like 1% of the population, if that. I'm talking about the hardcore Nacho Vidal types who are sex addicts and see them as just cum buckets. Not guys who enjoy fucking different girls but are not on that level.

An reaction to an ROK article is the perfect barometer for whether or not I should introduce somebody to the forum.

Alas have not done it yet bc I prefer to maintain this private existence away from my social circles.

I find more use for than them than just being cum buckets. Having loyal women around useful in many ways especially in the professional world. You just have to instill in them a sense of loyalty which the majority don't have. They have to be heavily invested. I see them as useful and pleasureful pawns(well those here in the States; outside I would consider them possibly as mothers for my progeny). I won't turn them away if they want to stick around, but they won't be the only ones I'm fucking.

RE: Introducing strangers to the Forum
I was referred by a buddy of mine. I don't think I'll be inviting anyone to this, as someone who is blue pill won't see much value in this. This site has a lot of gold, but there's digging required. I'd first present a dude with a more accessible version of game/red pill thinking, see if a bulb goes off.

RE: Introducing strangers to the Forum
The forum is definitely not something that you suggest to people for advice. I think most people will not take it the right way. The best way is to slowly encourage people to go down the rabbit hole with their thought processes. I live with two pretty blue pill guys and although I don't go around preaching, I will not spare an opportunity to help them out. The main distinction is that instead of just saying "no, don't text emoticons to girls," I'll try to help them understand why it's bad to do that. Then they start to understand it.

I think the best way to introduce a true blue pill man to the 'sphere is through books. If you can manage to lend Bang, Rational Male, or one of Aaron Clarey's books to someone it will be taken much more seriously than a forum. A book implies that this person's ideas have been tested, are marketable, and are true. It also allows them to digest the material on their own time with no distractions from the internet telling them what to believe.

I like using this approach. I will refer to articles on ROK or the main rooshv site. If they bring up those topics looking for more, i may tell them about the forum. So far I have gotten 'that guy is crazy, is going to get put in jail, is retarded etc' so no, I have not introduced the forum to anyone.

looking for a new signature.

Yea, I definitely second this. Although I think ROK touches some very controversial topics, e.g., VV's recent barn-burner, unfortunately I think that will still scare most blue-pillers off. I would probably recommend Patrice O'Neal first… first his stand-ups, then his 'Black Philip Show.' I don't think anyone has made red pill topics as accessible as he did.

I second using Bill Burr and Patrice O'Neal as early stepping stones. They're able to take red pill topics and oftentimes make them hilarious, and make people start thinking in the back of their heads "this is funny, but it also sounds kind of true...".

Comedy is the last place in the West where a man can truley say what he feels. If you watch George Carlin for example, it's not even jokes, just him putting the world to rights.

It's funny because people think "Haha that's so true, I wish I could say that".
