In some instances, a girl will cross the line with you.

Most of those times, you will be grown up enough to say "fuck that", quickly followed by "NEXT!". Live and let live.

For me, this wasn't one of the times. This girl let me down and then made it out to be me who fucked up, so I told her (in response to her asking if we should hang out again - she turned me down last time to have dinner with Jack, her "friend"):

"Fuck it, Katie. I don't see any reason to listen to more lies or one-sided criticism. And I'm not really interested in girls who have had a hoard of partners. Contact me again when you've grown up and can stand by who you are".

In general, I don't recommend bridge-burning, but in this case, my damaged ego needed to inflict some retribution. Not very honorable, but human.

I burned a bridge w/ a girl that turned my life upside down years ago. Recently she found me on facebook and profusely apologized for the way she had acted, and wanted to meet for dinner. She said eventually she felt guilt for her actions and it turned her life around. I expressed my genuine appreciation for the apology but let her I didn't wish to relive the past. She is now a dentist w/ a budding practice. It took a lot for me to do even that, because she didn't deserve it. But I grown up and really don't give a fuck about the small shit anyway.

When a chick fucks me over the details of her existence become completely inconsequential. First time shame on her, second time shame on me.

On a side note, I break contact w/ all former girlfriends, even if the breakup was amicable. It's bad mojo to have ex's hovering around when trying to establish another relationship, IMHO.

Myself, I don't see the point. I bang the girl for awhile, things don't work out, time to either try to work a new girl into the rotation, or start from scratch again. It happens, I don't take it personally anymore.

The only time I've burned bridges is with girls I dated long-term. Oh that and with girls I've never banged, nor have any intention of banging, but that's just because some women need to be put in their place.

I don't know if this constitutes as "burning bridges", but I told my ex never to talk to me. She tried many times to talk to me while I was gaming other women, and each time I didn't reciprocate. If you don't want to talk to somebody, and also have absolutely nothing to gain from them (assuming that friendship and trust are out of the equation), then no need to have them in your life.

Plus it sets the pace for flaky bitches. It let's them know its not acceptable to be a lying flaky person in the grown up world. If enough guys are sitting around and biting their tongues just get a quick peice of left over pussy then she will continue to play that game.

What you do by getting angry is the oposite you are entending to do. If you get angry at a girl when she flakes on you, it just gives her even more of an ego boost because she thinks she has control of the way you feel. She sees you're getting mad and sees she has little control over you. Don't even worry about it, don't mention it, and act like it never happened. I think the best thing to do is forget about it and if she flakes, don't even call her. If she was into you, she'll call back. And if you really like her and she doesn't call back, try calling her back after a week or so and then ask her to come meet up with you that day. Don't even mention to her about flaking, because you want her to think it didn't matter reguardless if it did or not. The best thing you can do to get back, is not give a shit. For all she knows you had something better to do anyways. And, if her flaking on you is that big of a problem, move onto the next, why make a big deal about it? It happens often, that's just the game. If getting a number was a guaranteed lay everytime, it would be a lot easier to get laid.

Well, "coming back to your ex-wife/GF" seems to be a common feature in a lot of Hollywood movies. I can name 6 or 7 easily, and I'm definitely not a movie expert. I also talked to quite a lot of girls here in Bay Area, and all of them mentioned a line of ex-BFs who come to them at first call. What is important here is that it doesn't matter whether it actually happened as she described, but the fact she presented it as something which would add to her value matters. So I'm pretty sure it is part of American culture, it is just you do not accept this part as well.

On the other side, I can't remember a single Russian or Eastern European movie where it would be featured at all, not to mention as something worth doing. I also cannot remember a single Russian girl who'd mentioned that to me. Although those things do happen sometime, but as I said there is a stigma doing so, so people keep it very quiet. Getting mad is counter-productive.

At the same time, it's important to A) have a boundaries so she knows she's crossed a line, and B) to be so confident in the message you send she is compelled to identify herself with what you are saying.

The pecking order is so: A girl desperately in love with you, a girl who hates you for the way you treat her, the girl is totally indifferent. If you inspire indifference, you are a beta whimp and nothing you say will command her interest. If you inspire hatred, you've inspired a negative emotion, but any emotion is better than none. Your game sucks, but at least you have boundaries. Of course, if she's falling for you, that's the best.

I didn't hear back from her. I was in a serious relationship with this girl a about a year and it got quite serious. I oscillated between being super alpha and super beta, but that was before I got into game. Anyways, like all girls, they strive for validation from you, and I fell into the trap. Really, by lashing out, I am just projecting my disappointment over my own failings on her.

I wasn't there so I don't know if that was the situation for it but, the times I've just not responded during those types of situations seem to hold more power for myself.

I think the best way to show you have boundries though is to be very inderect, she'll get the point. For example, the other day a girl called that had flaked on me the day before. I was on the phone and made some small talk with her. I didn't show much interest in what she had to say and then I cut off the conversation pretty abrupt and told her I had to get ready for work. Don't show you are mad or anything, just show you aren't very interested, don't mention her flaking, she'll get the hint that you're sick of her shit.

Well there was no violent bridge burning, but I had to cut one of my girls tonight. A tragedy IMO, but it was bound to happen sooner or later. She only re-entered a week or so ago (if you recall my random text thread) and I figured it wasn't long-term. Got a house party tomorrow night, hoping that yields something, but I'm not counting on it. I'm may sadly be facing a rough couple weeks until I pack up and ship out of Michigan for good in January.

I personally feel that if you are confident, genuine, and sincere you can tell a chick whatever you want and she will have to feel you.

Ive cursed girls out, damn near kicked them out of my house and all types of potential bridge burning things and still ended up fucking or getting head from some of them.

My thought has always been that actions speak louder than words. If she flakes on you/ acts rude flirt with other girls in front of her to make sure she knows her place. If you do decide to call her out after she really has crossed the line and jealousy/ coldness won't do the trick, don't pull any punches, think of a parent scolding their insolent child and then cutting off all contact from them.
