Sense of entitlement. It is bad enough that we have to deal with it in women, but dudes? Fuck all. Nothing is more pathetic than a grown ass man immediately asking 'what's in it for me?', or 'what do i get out of it?'. That's the exact opposite of masculinity, thinking the world revolves around you. Bitches do this, we don't. Men go out and work first, then draw a paycheck at the end of the week, not sit around on foodstamps all day playing the flute.

Being in L.A. is like arriving at an island full of dodo birds. The savage barbarian inside of you can't help but want to strangle all of them and completely destroy their population.

I guess that's why we have laws.

My G'ma that lives out near Pasadena (yes, seriously) filled me in on that yesterday.

Was a balmy 11 degrees here...

RE: The Masculinity Meltdown Thread
I officially stopped listening to KCRW today, L.A.'s neo progressive radio station. I used to listen to it almost daily, mostly for the news.

Today they were interviewing some people behind "Her" and how they portrayed futuristic L.A. It pissed me off. The guy being interviewed had the whiniest, gayest voice I've ever heard and I'm pretty sure he's straight. The girl being interviewed spoke COMPLETELY in vocal fry. It was like listening to nails being dragged across a chalkboard.

I know this isn't a "Everything you hate about L.A." thread, but given the huge population of effeminate men here, it might as well be.

I hate complacency. Everyone is so goddamned relaxed and mellow here. It's like if you display any dominance, assertiveness, or polarizing opinion here, people recoil in horror like you're an alien.

Yep.

I'm starting to feel like a stranger in my own country.

Was at this breakfast cafe type spot today and while in line looked around the place. The women had short hair and were fat and the men who were 'straight' were effeminate as fuck. I kid you not, probably 30 people in the joint and that's how it was.

I laughed out loud at it and people stared like "OMG that man in line just laughed!!??".

Yes I did you bull dyke and faggot fuck. Now finish your latte and keep scrolling through FagBook while you decide what gender to select.

No. A joint in Los Feliz, don't even know the name just walked in.

I've been to Toast though and you're right.

As if this thread hasn't been De-railed enough, have you been to King's Road on Beverly?

Solid ass breakfast and some cute girls.

no more posting pictures of trans people or linking to trans websites. I wasn't even sure what trans meant until an ROK article about it. I don't mind people talking about it, I just don't like to see it. I know I can't enforce this, but I think most people agree.

I'm the only straight male where I get my haircut, but the women celebrate my entrance. Lot of foreign chicks in there, with all the effeminate guys getting facials, treatments, and talking with a lisp.

Exactly. Nicely observed.

And this shows that these people's seeming complacency is just that, seeming. They're tight as fuck, and the opposite of being actually relaxed. As soon as there is anything in the least out of the ordinary -- let alone something so monstrous as a man just laughing at his ease -- they're immediately all tense and goggling.

These people have the easiest and most comfortable lives that have ever been lived -- and they're some of the most bizarrely fearful and unrelaxed motherfuckers that ever walked the earth. Go figure.

Yeah I used to date a chick that always went there. Lots of cute girls in that entire area (Joans on 3rd, Swingers, Doughboy etc)

When I go out to breakfast these days I go to Ed's Coffee Shop on Robertson. It might not have any cute girls but it's a good old fashioned coffee shop and cheap diner breakfast. Nothing is organic or farmer's market B.S. and the old lady that owns it is a character. It's like an artifact of genuine goodness in a sea of bullshit.

Seriously, go line up some girls on POF, then plan for an overnighter and slum around Oceanslime. Hit up some hole in the wall bars and drink with some Marines and Corpmen. You'll feel better being surrounded by men who don't wear skinny tight jeans. And don't forget to hit Los Pancho's Taco Shop. They have the best carne asado burrito in town.

I've been saying this about L.A. for years. Nice observation.

It has this SoCal stereotype of "Yeah man, super mellow, everything's chill, relaxed...blah blah blah." It's anything but. It's one of the most self-conscious and insecure places I've ever seen.

There ARE paces like that in SoCal, places like Carpinteria, parts of Ventura, parts of San Diego (Ocean Beach) But once you get in the Westside of L.A. all that goes right out the window in exchange for this weird superficial zombie culture.

RE: The Masculinity Meltdown Thread
Ironically, I have a lot of Marine friends and guaran-fuckin-teed when shit goes down that's who you want around.

Last Saturday leaving the club I got into it with some Persian dudes. One dude swung at me, I ducked and landed an uppercut. It was enough to throw him back on his heels.

As it goes, the rest of his clan jumped in.

My head hit the side of a brick wall and that was it.

A buddy of mine rolling with me, a Marine, went to town and it was a wrap. It's like watching a cyclone.

From what I've seen it's like a 'Combat Mode' switch gets flipped and you cats turn into machines.

If I had it to do over again would have skipped college and went into the Marines for 4 years.

Passive aggressiveness. This is the pinnacle of all things bitch boy. Attractive/successful women don't even use it. This is reserved for fat bitches and weak hipster type males. If you want to see Ali go into meltdown mode during a meetup, start sentences with:

'Well'
'But'
'Yeah, but well you know'

Men say what the fuck they mean, and don't verbally dance around the subject, or change the subject by correcting grammar or other gay ass move. PA in males should be hammer fisted out of them.

http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/pass...ases-avoid

There's a good list of how not to talk like an effeminate male. Your welcome.

Young boys today (elementary school age). This next generation is truly fucked. What a bunch of pussy bitch ass, lollygagging sally's and nancy's. In the entrance lobby of my gym there are always kids waiting for their parents to come up and get them. I seriously have a hard time telling which are boys and which are girls. The girls have short haircuts. Adrogynous faces. The boys have long haircuts and faggy, lispy effeminate voices. Christ, those voices. If I ever spoke like that as a boy, my dad would have backhanded me into a wall.
