I commend Roosh, ROK, and all the contributors within the Mansosphere who are waging the good fight against feminist views, the emasculation of modern men. I do not write to criticize, but just to propose an alternate approach to fighting this war. Currently I am witnessing a lot of tit for tat twitter post, blog post, and public shaming battles taking place online. The Manosphere wins some, and makes a gain (e.g. article goes viral), the feminists fight back and win back some territory (e.g. gets Roosh banned off facebook).

I feel like this war needs to continue to happen, but it is incredibly exhausting and cannot be won. It will just be a continuous back and forth fight with both sides displaying their trophies for others to observe and choose sides. However, this is not going to fundamentally change mainstream views. Things are only going to get worse. We are being left with men and women who's views are so polarized, that we are left with two bitter, unapproachable sides.

What I am suggesting here, is that the most effective and efficient way to make big changes in the attitudes of society is to creep into the mainstream in a less abrasive manner. A secondary battle behind the scenes. An espionage war.

A book like 'Fifty Shades of Grey' creeping into the mainstream had a much greater effect of changing the attitudes of women, than 10,000 blog posts about why women should have office romances with older men. I guarantee that book has gotten a lot of older men some action. Same goes for Sex and the City; my God that t.v. show has single handily caused unimaginable damage.

A movie, a book, a tv show, whatever, that could disguise itself in a mainstream friendly digestible package and access the masses, whilst subtly promoting masculinity among men, and femininity among women is the way to go. Men need to be trained to not be such thirsty simps, bombarding women online with compliments from a young age. Can you imagine the effect a cartoon which promoted such values amongst teen boys would have for their generation?

It's just an idea I wanted to get out there. No, you are correct this is not something that can be done easily. No, you are also correct in thinking that this idea is nothing new. It's basically social propaganda. We just need to connect to people in the way they are most susceptible to listening. Short viral youtube videos, Memes, books, movies, etc. The trick is to make it mainstream friendly.

It's an interesting idea but the tide of feminism is too strong in the media for an insurgency to be effective in the near term. Our society is crumbling as it is. Look at the divorce rates, the number of unmarried mothers... the list goes on and on.

Perhaps iconic shows or books such as Fifty Shades and Sex and the City did not change the times, but are merely signs of the times. If you look at it that way, an attempt to change the times through a mainstream title is doomed to fail.

The main strength of the "manosphere" is truth. It is the sword and shield, and the manosphere abandons the truth at its own peril. Secondary is the guerrilla nature. Its members are decentralized and unknown. Its leaders, such as Roosh, are immune to the usual attacks.

If we are right, time will vindicate us. Until then, carry on. Looking forward to the rest of traditional gender roles week.

Problem is that you don't have two sides making opposing arguments with the goal being to find common ground.

For example, I'm somewhat liberal, a close friend is somewhat conservative. We debate, but it's mostly about ideas and we have common respect for one another. In fact, I don't have a problem with conservative ideas (and agree with some of them). We both acknowledge that we are a diverse country with lots of different viewpoints and leave it at that.

But this isn't about both sides having merit. On one side you have men who want to return to the idea of gender roles. Who want to be able to express their opinions freely and let the chips fall where they may. That if you are not accomplishing your goals (job, sex, whatever), that it is important to look in the mirror and focus on self-improvement.

On the other side is an ideology that wants to promote the notion that one sex is always right and can do no wrong. It's based on utter hypocrisy (don't judge us on our appearance, but men we don't like are 'creepy'), and no accountability. It attempts to rewrite centuries of natural selection and basic biology with the idea that fat/unattractive women deserve consideration by all men no matter how unappealing they are, both in terms of appearance and behavior.

On top of that, they've largely succeeded in brainwashing a majority of the population into believing this. Until I found this place, I had doubts. I had been constantly shamed for being shallow and turning down fat/unattractive women and had long felt guilty about it (a lot of people I know like to play matchmaker). I always thought maybe I am shallow. Maybe I shouldn't just date/bang pretty women (my track record is solid), and give these women 'a chance' as people would say to me.

F*** that. I'll never again care about what other people think of my dating choices. In fact, since I've been here, I've done a solid job of shaming the people who attempted to force upon me some land whale.

'Fifty Shades of Grey' was a game changer for me.

Whenever I hear women talk about wanting to be strong and independent - I ask them why that book is the best selling book of all time.
