See, here's why the, "Israeli soldiers use KM!" stuff is a mythos and marketing hype.

Do you know that is a soldier is using hand-to-hand combat, something went very very very wrong.

So it doesn't make a lot of sense to say, "Look at what these guys train! These guys are awesome soldiers. Therefore, their martial art is the best!"

Solidering is about moving in and providing violence of action using team tactics, flash bang grenades, and guns.

This is what close quarters combat looks like to a solider. They use guns. They are wearing gear. No one is doing throat strikes with their hands or getting guys in rear naked chokes. (That stuff happens, but it is extremely rare.)

Not that is matters (because of what I said above), but the Army Rangers train BJJ and MMA. The Rangers are far more elite than Israeli special forces.

So by Krav Maga logic, we should do what Army Rangers do. Train BJJ and MMA!

God, I wish we had a forum "fight club"!!!

Ditto both.

Fisto wins Forum Fight Club.

(Well, there is always someone tougher than you. Who knows who's lurking? Based on available knowledge, though, Fisto wins and it isn't even close.)

So is it the consensus of the thread that training at the 'Lightsaber Combat Academy' wouldn't be useful in a streetfight?

I've done a bit of training in Kombatan.

I'm by no means an expert, but it's not hard to find a stick or two, should you find yourself in a bit of trouble. Just a little bit of training will tilt the odds massively in your favour.
