For all you sweaty motherfuckers
This is for all you guys who excessively sweat under your arms and deodorant or antiperspirant has no effect.

I used to sweat under my arms A LOT. I didn't have this problem anywhere else, just under my arms. During college it got to the point where I could only wear black or white t-shirts. If i put on a coloured tshirt, more times than not, there would be sweat patches visible to all before I'd even left the house. It didn't matter if it was hot or cold, everyday was the same. I'd be conscious of it all the time and had to plan what I was going to wear. It was a real pain in the ass.

I finally had enough once I had started working in an office. My work shirts would have big visible patches before 11am. It was embarrassing especially when I had to go to meetings etc. So one day I decided enough was enough and did some research online (why I hadn't done this sooner I don't know). I came across something which, as dramatic as it sounds, changed my life.

I give you, Anhydrol Forte:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Anhydrol-Forte-R...B0019M82N0

Put this stuff on once a week before going to bed and you're golden. It might itch for an hour or so (its only happened to me 2-3 times in 2+ years) but you'll be bone fucking dry for a week/10 days.

I've still got 1/4 left in the bottle I bought over 2 years ago. That's how little you need to use. Don't use any more that 2 swipes under each arm.

Check Amazon for some more detailed reviews. If you suffer from sweaty pits this will be the best £5 you'll ever fucking spend.

You haven't been here long, so I forgive your error.

You are obviously not well versed in the magic potion that we worship, which is known as:

Stick some of that under your arms and you'll never have to worry again.

I just like the fact that you used motherfuckers in the title of your thread.

I thought baking soda only helped with the smell. Plus the irritation and being messy under there.

RE: For all you sweaty motherfuckers
I gave my thoughts on this the last time there was a sweating thread.

Baking soda, deodorant crystals etc. do absolutely jack shit to control excess perspiration.

If you sweat too much (I had to to take an extra shirt with me everywhere even in winter) then these hardcore antiperspirant products are a godsend.

I'm never going back, now I can kill it in the gym and not look like I've just stepped out of a sauna for the rest of the day.

Baking soda doesn't stop perspiration, but it does absorb moisture and eliminate odour.

That is basically medical grade antiperspirant. It's the same stuff as in other antiperspirants (aluminium) but in a much higher concentration.

I've prescribed a similar product once for a guy with very sweaty hands, it sorted him out in a few days, he was very happy.

For the average guy it will be enough, but I would have needed a box suspended under each arm to have any effect.

This stuff stops problem sweating dead even in the toughest conditions.

Nothing that's on the shelves in the shops can come anywhere near it.

Guys who can benefit from this will constantly have the "swimming pool armpit" feeling, and it will make a huge difference to their quality of life.

Is this powder that you have to rub on your pits or similar to a deodorant stick? Now I need to see if I go with cripplers brand or the one in this thread.

Thomas what can you recommend for sweaty hands? I thought surgery was the only option.

I think you're just to Alpha to be working in an office. You need a job where you sweat and swear openly like men are supposed to Laugh

Seriously though, all that anti-perspirant will give you cancer. Google the chemicals in it.

I think Roosh had a bad perspiration problem, and all he uses is Baking Soda! I think it's worth a try.

Almost all the standard ones are liquid roll-ons, some are stronger than others but that just means you need to apply them less often, they all do the same job.

Worth it. I'd rather die of cancer in my 80s than drown in sweat for the next 60 years.

All the complaints I've seen are from hippies who advise beating yourself with sticks and removing all pleasure from your life, or from con artists talking up their competing product.

Here's Google:
http://www.google.com/search?q=aluminium...ide+cancer

Result 1: Cancer.org
http://www.cancer.org/cancer/cancercause...ancer-risk
"There are no strong epidemiologic studies in the medical literature that link breast cancer risk and antiperspirant use, and very little scientific evidence to support this claim."

"But it isn’t clear that much aluminum is absorbed through the skin. One study that looked at the absorption of aluminum from antiperspirants containing aluminum chlorohydrate applied to the underarms found that only a tiny fraction (0.012%) was absorbed. The actual amount of aluminum absorbed would be much less than what would be expected to be absorbed from the foods a person eats during the same time."

"this rumor has been posted on some websites that sell deodorants that are not antiperspirants, so some people might benefit financially from spread of this misinformation."

Just says he no longer smells, nothing about not sweating as much.

I never had body odour problems, so if that's what you need to fix then try baking soda, but I guarantee you it will make almost no difference to sweating.

Driclor - http://amzn.com/B008R7BT5S

I've used it for years as i don't like the smell of most proper antiperspirants. Prefer to use this weekly and i can then use deodorants that match my cologne without having to worry.
For me it's 90% effective. Very good.

You can use any ordinary antiperspirant on your hands daily, if that's too much of a hassle or it doesn't work, then ask your doctor/pharmacist for one of the medical grade antiperspirants in this thread. The advantage of the medical grade stuff is that you only need to apply it every few days.

I'd say surgery is a desperate last resort, especially since there is a phenomenon called compensatory sweating - the body shifts sweat production to other parts of the body after the op, so your hands are dry but the rest of you is drenched in sweat. I'd rather stick to the drichlor or anhydrol, if it was me.

I would try this product:

http://www.amazon.com/Certain-Dri-Anti-P...ertain+dri

I used to use this every night on my armpits and it keeps your armpits from excessive sweating…sometimes my pits wouldn't get wet at all after working out with this on.

You can also use it on your palms, as once your skin absorbs it you won't have sweaty/oily hands for a day or 2. I'd give it a try.

Regarding surgery, I'm not sure what time of surgery you're referring to, however I have a family member who (I believe it's once a year) receives botox injections in his armpits and palms. That basically closes the pores and solves the situation pretty easily. It's just expensive, and likely not an ideal solution.

…Long term - When I cleaned up my diet, cutting out grains, sugar, alcohol, junk etc. my excessive sweating basically stopped. I also take Activated Charcoal (especially after I eat something I shouldn't have) as well as Spirulina/Chlorella tablets, and I think those help my body purge out some toxins - No more excessive sweating for me.

I have been trying to find a good deodorant for me, but I find that Baking Soda irritates me and leaves me with a rash…I've tried applying just a little but the rash remains.

Giving this deodorant a try just ordered some, as it contains Baking Soda, just in smaller quantities, along with coconut oil and sugar, which apparently help absorb the bacteria in your pits…hopefully the amazon reviews weren't lying: http://www.amazon.com/Trulys-Natural-Deo...+deodorant

Paranoia.

With the quality of the 'evidence' that exists, they may as well say that eating food causes death by old age.
