Men have a much longer period of potency, and could father children as long as they live (if the hydraulic system is intact). That said, I think a woman 1-2 years older is no big deal. If you can land a 9+ who is also the ideal mate (mothering, submissiveness, compatibility, etc.) then its acceptable. Would you settle for a 7 or 8 just so they were younger?

Okay Chris Hemsworth's wife isn't ugly, she's a definite 7 (he could get a 10 no doubt), but she's 7 years older! God damn.

This is another reason why it's bad (especially if you're a highly visible celebrity) to marry washed-up ex-sluts; it tells all the women out there that they can waste their prime years and still have their pick of the best men out there when it comes time to settle down.

I think in many cases, girl game really does trump looks, when it comes to beating out the competition to get one of the greater betas. There are tons of thirsty men out there, too timid or socially awkward to approach and dominate women effectively, and too naive and inexperienced to know not to take what women say at face value, who will accept any woman 5 or higher on the looks scale who approaches them, says the right things, and takes the lead in the relationship. Just as being an alpha tends not to come naturally for men (especially given all the pro-beta cultural influences), taking the lead in courtship doesn't really come naturally for women either, so those who are proactive (or desperate) enough to do so can have an advantage, with certain guys.

As for these celebrities, some of them are probably thinking, "Yeah, she doesn't look like much, but she's awesome in the sack, maybe better than a hotter girl would be."

The bottom line is, ugly girls who know how to play their cards right have a lot of options these days.

True story: in the dying days of my last LTR, my then GF brought up, out of nowhere, the fact that Bon Jovi and his wife are known to have an "arrangement" where he is allowed to bang groupies when he's on the road.
