Dude Im leaving Korea for Oaxaca in about a month or two. I am actually on my way to San Cristobal but am going to spend time there first. I loooove oxa. I might hit the city for a day or 2 and then a place above San Jose called San Mateo Rio Hondo. Where are you going to be living?

I dont know what mexican women like, but I can tell what they dont like: pasty dull gringos that expect to get the god treatment just because they are white.

I want to check out San Cristobal too, I'm renting an apartment a few block from the zocalo.

Nice man, I am planing on getting there around early March. When will you be around? We should get some chelas y tlayudas/ Oh, y some chicas tmb si quieres. I am planing on staying at this great hostal not to far from Zocalo. Have you been through Oxa before?

The best you can really do is go to Paladium and similar places and approach as much as possible. Mexico City social circles make it difficult, but not impossible. There used to be a decent amount of quality waitresses, bartenders, and strippers in the Playa Condesa area, but most of that has dried up. Mexico is a big country and there are plenty of cities and towns which are good options. As much as it pains me to say it, at this point, Acapulco should probably be avoided.

Acapulco is not the crazy party town it once was. The local tourism industry is dead there. The first time I traveled there back in 1999 it was still happening, all the beach clubs along the Costera were filled with women. I've seen it go from a lively beach city to a ghost town. Carlos Slim is trying revive the city by dumping a bunch of money into it, so we will see what the future holds for Acapulco. Palladium is hit or miss, last time I was there it sucked.

Also the fact that its in the middle of a drug war between rival cartels doesnt help much either. I heard it was number 1 or 2 most dangerous city in Mexico. I would avoid it right now.
