I was half hoping the misinformation would stick - more than happy to keep the place to myself if I must. It's just not in me to troll that hard, though, so I had to fess up.

Fortunately, Bangkok is a big and diverse enough city that it's easy to feel like you have the place to yourself just as it is already. That's how I still feel there a lot of the time. I won't bother beating a dead horse on the topic any further though.

Seconded. I visited both and I was bored after two days.

Stick with BKK for the girls, or Chiang Mai for networking opportunities, and Northern Thailand for the scenic motorbike rides.

But the Isaan food was pretty good, I'll give them that.

I don't think I've ever been to a Thai city that I'd classify as a "shit hole" . . . Some that appear to be a bit poorer at first glance, sure, but, damn, you guys have some high standards!

Lol (and I dont "lol" often) @ the dudes who are claiming Bangkok's over. BB wrote something about Krung Thep's club scene that really stuck with me, and I'll paraphrase it here: "There's more places in Bangkok that probably never see a white face than places that do."

Whenever I land at the airport and am taking the trip into the city center, I marvel at how large and vast Bangkok really is. You could take years, maybe even decades to explore its many nooks & crannies and still not see it all.

I think next time in Thailand, I'll head to Mo Chit and take a bus to a city I've never heard of before and know nothing about.

I can see where these comments about Bangkok being dead are coming from but they are a little misguided.

Funky Villa, Route 66, Demo, Sugar, Levels, Sing Sing, Mixx, Nung Len, Beam and the rest have been done to death and are on every blog.

I've been here 5 years and I have very little interest in visiting any of the places above, been to them dozens of times and only go when I have friends from out of town. You can still (and I do) have a good time there but it's invested with tourists and the like. They no longer have the vibe they did 3-4 years ago but you can still see LOTS of hot girls no doubt.

Like the above posts said, Bangkok has so many more places you can visit such as Ramkhamhaeng soi 65 . There's a few places in Lad prao near the main university and dozens more in Ram Intra.

Bangkok is by no-way dead, but if you keep going to the same clubs listed in all the blogs then I can see why people would say that.

Even the main clubs in Bangkok are not played out (except Levels and some other tourist clubs). They might be played out in the sense that there are dozens of other white guys in the club but other than that they are still good. Take Sugar for example. Almost every time I end up at Sugar I still manage to pull a girl even though the whole club is infested with white guys. Most white guys in Bangkok don't have much game. In fact, they go to Bangkok because they don't have game. If your success with girls is dependent on the number of other white faces in a club, then your game is the problem and not the city. Bangkok is not a place any more where all you need to do is show up and be white unless you are really good looking and rely on Online Game.

Apparently this is the most literal thread now. Obviously Bangkok isn't dead. The ones who say it is are just faggots who arrive and think they'll be slaying Siam Paragon 9s just cause they're here. This city is still amazing in most aspects and I am happy almost everyday to call Bangkok home. The next person who says it's dead here I personally will challenge to a fist fight at Terminal 21. Meet me at the lighthouse.

Online is easier then ever to be honest. I find it at the Tinder high point of mass usage, but the local competition is pretty weak. Not too difficult to bang legit 7's if you bring proper game and logistics. Do note you'll have to break through some big LMR for more of the "traditional" thai girls and manage a spreadsheet of the girls to figure out which ones you want to target first before hitting the next round.

Haha. I really don't understand why people get their panties in a bunch when others proclaim a place to be 'dead' or even just report on the current state of things. People should have the right to know whether a city or country is still good or not. Not drop a couple grand or more on flight and hotel, flying half way across the world only to not get laid because they read about a city being a pussy paradise based on intel that's already 5 or 10 years old. Personally, I would be very, very pissed off if that happened to me.

And even if these guys are lying (in most cases, they probably aren't) it just means more poosy for you anyway since less people will come.

^ Countries like Thailand and Philippines are now at a stage where being whitey on its own doesn't cut it to fuck hot girls, but combined with other factors (looks, game, how much effort you put in, aiming at specific types of girls) it can still be an advantage.

Since personal experiences will therefore greatly vary, you can expect an endless torrent of seemingly contradicting posts regarding whether the place is "dead" or not.
