Dominican Republic (Hidden Gems Search)
I'm going to be doing a lot of work here in Santo Domingo over the next few weeks but one of the things I want to do is really travel this country.

With that in mind, what are some must see cities and towns that are off the beaten path?

I'm sick of this first tier city stuff. Everytime I go somewhere it's almost like being everywhere else when it comes to the tier 1 thing.

We were meant for far more than to suffer in our self created prisons only to die alone. It doesn't have to be that way. It never did.

Recommend to hit Jarabacoa on the weekend....just a cool vibe place to relax.

There is nice scenic mountain road from Jarabacoa to Constanza.

If you wish to do some mountain trekking - you can travel to La Cienaga - small village from which you can start your hike to Pico Duarte...
You will need to have your own transport to get there....and hire a guide / register at the park office. (The first part of the trek can be muddy)
The views from the summit are rewarding...The hike usually takes 2-3 days.

Howdy Fisto, Glad to hear your reports from DR. I loved this spot in Naugua, Robert knows about it, No girls, just tranquillo time ......

Las Terannas

Portillo.

Robert keeps talking about Bani where some of his relatives live and also per e-mech's research , Bani has the fairest colored (almost white) Girls.

Looking forward to your second round of shenanigans in DR

I've been to Las Terrenas.

The beach is very beautiful. The nightlife is pretty good - a small street by the ocean with a few restaurants and bars and even a couple of night clubs. Enough places to bounce around and approach.

I never got the chance to go to Las Galeras, but Driver told me it is a pretty chill beach town.

You want to know the only thing you can assume about a broken down old man? It's that he's a survivor.
