I met some girl before the holidays. She went off the grid till recently where I called her again.

After trying to get her to a meet-up she said that there was something she hadn't told me when she first met me and that she was seeing somebody. We could still hang out "platonicly" (does anyone even use that word anymore?)

Is my time better spent on going on a date with this girl or going to happy hour after work to approach more/get a venue near work on lock down?

If anything I got reps on the phone, can't remember the last time I did that.

how old is she? if she is late teens early 20s, she could just be looking for a way out from her current boyfriend but unable to articulate that. but probably not worth the effort.

I lived in Alaska for a couple of years where the sex ratios are so far skewed in women's favor that the girls up there are perpetually looking for an upgrade. The saying is, "you didn't lose your girlfriend; you just lost your turn."

That saying is true. Just about every girl I talked to had other pots she was stirring and at various stages of doneness. Two chicks that I banged ended up being married.

If this chick is willing to meet, I say for it. Tell her whatever her hamster wants to hear, but game her as per usual. Game is often a frame contest. And right now, she's beating you.

It's appalling how western women are so spoiled! You would never hear this shit in a poor county!..lol
If she willing to meet/hang out - you still have a chance of banging her, just wait for the right moment. Boyfriends aren't perfect,there will be the time when she is pissed at him for whatever reason and that's where you catch her! Girls cheat on their bfs all the time- the question is: do you feel like wasting your time and energy on her? Put her on back burner and ping once in a while keeping yourself as an option, but actively develop new leads.

You're leaving out a whole lot of information.

But
1. She's playing games and is being untruthful in a very real sense.

2. You probably only had one legitimate shot to build on your attraction and make things happen the very day you got the #. Logistics and circumstances may have not been remotely ideal, but that was probably your only shot to get your dick wet.

Lessons to be learned
- always be far more descriptive about the situation when describing it to a message board full of guys who were not there
- seducing a chick via phone calls, texts, and twitter/facebook messages will never be easy
- always be closing
- at this point in your skill development, it's a numbers game
