Player for life?
You going to stay in the game until the casket drops, or are you building your skills so that you can set up a permanent situation?

RE: Player for life?
Ideal situation is to have a permanent girl, and still have the freedom to bang whoever I want.

As long as I can get it up, look somewhat young and have a sex drive, I'm smashing.

I am building my skills so that I can set up a permanent situation down the road. Ideally, I want a family with at least four children (my poor wife). One of those skills, of course, will be discretion.

RE: Player for life?
The only permanent situation for me is building things so that I can allow myself to do whatever I want and not feel like I don't have any options. That's the real game, regardless of if you are in relationship or not.

When you are trapped, you don't have game.

RE: Player for life?
If you would have asked this question at this time last year, I would have said 'player for life'.

This year seeing all my friends kids had a different impact. Its the kids. Most of them are in relationships with women I would never even talk to, let alone date/fuck/marry.

I could take some time to raise some kids I am sure. But as Walder said, discretion and understanding is of utmost importance. I am confident I will be able to make it work. The lifestyle is so entrenched in me already that any woman in my life is going to know the score, even if I am not up front about it.

Building for a permanent situation...but like Laner says playboy style/life is tough to dissasociate.

WIA- For most of men, our time being masters of our own fate, kings in our own castles is short. Even those of us in the game will eventually succumb to ease of servitude rather than deal with the malaise of solitude

RE: Player for life?
It's a complicated issue. I would like to have 3 kids and settle down when I'm around 40-45, I guess I'll only know when I get there and feel the time is right, I would prefer to have a asian wife or eastern european. But these are just suppositions of course. Who the hell knows!

"Christian love bears evil, but it does not tolerate it. It does penance for the sins of others, but it is not broadminded about sin. Real love involves real hatred: whoever has lost the power of moral indignation and the urge to drive the sellers from temples has also lost a living, fervent love of Truth."

At least no marriage and no kids.
That's a good ground for doing what you want at anytime in life.
But the hardest thing is that I'm in the 23'rd generation of a a straight bloodline from father to son who have inherited this place and house.

Kind of sad that I seem to be the one who ends this bloodline.

@Chaos what's more important, your feelings or the family?

Many men before you have sacrificed their happiness for the greater cause...noble? Stupid?

Human happiness can be more complex than this either/or frame that you are positing.

That's why it's joyful to fuck a woman than jerk off, and at times, the opposite is true.

For some, they can't experience joy if they feel like they are fulfilling their responsibilities. It can be difficult to enjoy things if you've got pressing stuff on your mind. Also, family doesn't have to be against the player. In fact, some of the strongest players are probably the guys who are able to maintain a family and have his side pieces while keeping control over the whole thing. I can't imagine how hard that must be and have a lot of respect for that level of ability.

In some ways, most guys on this site (who take this lifestyle serious) will be players for life.

The skills you've acquired through years of gaming have to be applied even when wifed-up.

How to hold your frame, starving the hamster, and constantly displaying DHV are tools that seem like chinese arithmetic to the avg square.

If it sounds odd:

I'm pretty sure i've found a few girls who wanted to be with me so badly that they would be comfortable with me getting strange on the side if it meant they could still be with me.

Ironically, because they were cool with me doing that I was more apt to stay and be loyal.

I'd eventually like to settle, but it will be on my own terms.

Exactly, and I get your point Westindian.
It's actually about responsibilities. I wish I didn't feel responsible for it, but now I kind of do. I didn't choose it. For example, not long a go I was traveling around the world for 18 months. Meanwhile I did enjoy the ride, the thought of having unfinished business at home was eating the back of my head all the time. Not about having children or being married. It was more about maintaining and taking care of my legacy and not letting it go waste what my ancestors has built up.
But I admit that sometimes the thought of having kids pops up in my mind.

Maybe it's not important at the moment but in the future when I'm old and grey it could be a good investment that pays of multiple times.

I think nobody wants to die alone.

The biggest question mark is to find a women that is good enough to impregnate, at the moment I actually having a Russian girl over for a month or two and she's already giving hints of having kids. Hell no. That won't happen.
Not in the nearest future.

I don't know.

I take it one day at a time or 1 year at a time.

If my wants, needs, and desires change, I will change.

I don't fantasize about the future. It will come soon enough and I will adjust if I need/want to.

I will play it "by ear".

I guess that's the most healthy and most rewarding lifestyle.

That is a fallacy to scare men into marrying. I have seen enough to know better.

I remember this one girl I was dating right out of high school. Her mom was slowly dying of cancer. Guess where her father was? He was out lining up a new chick to replace his wife because he was afraid of being alone.

He ended up marrying the new one awhile later. You better believe that isn't some odd occurrence.

The last thing I want is people hovering around me when I am dying. I just want some hot nurses with some sponges and let the white light come for me.

I want a family in the future. I also want to travel around with a cool fun girl that I can make some great memories with. Ideally, I'll find a girl that can satisfy both with me. I don't get all that tired of girls I sleep with, I'm content with one as long as she respects me, does what I tell her. Chateau's metric as to when you get bored of a girl has some merit.. I'm probably on the longer side, too.

Soup's right though - we're building a skill set to be free. I'm free to use my skill set to maintain and have a great relationship. Others are free to keep sleeping around. I'd have never been able to get a good stable relationship with a hot girl without the skill set I've learned.

Damn son, that is some heritage.

I am sure its different when in the position that you are, but I would be looking for some surrogate mothers to have you some sons. Bring over a nanny to help with the day to day raising, get your female relatives on board and raise the next generation.

I have always been a bit envious of you blue bloods. My heritage goes back two generations. I am a Ghostkeeper of the Cree tribe but that means shit now days. I come from a defeated culture.

Be proud of what you have.

Some guys talk about being afraid of dying alone.

I'm not afraid to die alone. In end, everyone dies alone. You can't take people or things with you. You can only hope that you and your progeny will make to whatever heaven you believe in, and that you'll have the patience to wait. I speak from the frame of being afraid to die.

Not in the physical sense. I've could been dead at birth - the act of dying does not bother me. It is dieing without anything to pass on. No genetic legacy. Sure, my brother's child may carry on my family name, genes of our fathers before us. But if I have no son, my own genes, me myself, will be lost to history forever. Perhaps it's vain to speak of this - but at least I know what I am dealing with. My journey is less about discovery nowadays and more about getting things done.
