They are very conservative so you may have to play "me love you long time" game.

I live in Cebu and there are loads of girls this light or lighter. Yes, many are much darker and shorter but there are also many Chinese-Filos around. Also some Fil-Ams as they call them.

2 of them are from when I lived in Manila many years ago. Both I picked up at the club "embassy" which is where Prive is located in the fort. 1 girl recently was at a house party. I have not come across any Korean girls online.

Only fucked one Korean. A 33 year-old. The only 8 I've fucked. But I dated two others:

There are PLENTY of Thai girls who look as good as Koreans, but if there were two equal-looking girls (one Thai and one Korean), I'd choose the Korean as I find her 'more valuable'. This is a completely ridiculous attitude to have, I know, but it's something I can't shake off for some reason. (Disclaimer: Obtaining a quality Thai girl is certainly no cake-walk).

Plus I like wide faces. Actually Mongolians are bloody hot, and look like 'super-Koreans'. I had a job offer there but rejected it as it's currently -19 degrees :/.

Funny, this reminds me just a bit of how I feel towards Japanese girls. The more difficulty I have with something, the more I want it.

Generally, though, I like the overall vibe of the Korean girls I've met over that of the Japanese. They just tend to seem more lively. Plus, besides the one Korean girl I had sex with, I noticed the others I'd go out on dates with were usually more fun, even with this one tourist who was only in Osaka for a day, it was fun to have a conversation using guess work, hand gestures and this little translator-app on her smartphone. Only thing I've noticed is that Koren girls I've met in Japanese clubs seemed like ice princesses.

It may seem VERY apocalyptic and VERY negative, but after living in Korea for seven months, I find it very hard to disagree with it. It's honestly a pretty accurate portrayal of a white man's life in Korea. (It's bloody long, but give it a read).

Korea seems rosy at first, and I know it seems like a case of 'Excuses, Excuses'. Maybe some guys have spent a weekend there and think I'm full of shit. But in my opinion, you really have to live there to understand the xenophobia and social hierarchy.

I remember 'Month 3', when I realised my place in Korean society. I finally had that 'I'm a blonde white guy who will slay Asians' shit beat out of me for good. Oh man it was depressing. From then on, I focused on getting the fuck out of Korea, Dash Global-style. (But in the long run, it helped me).

It was in Busan, we got rejected from a club for 'Having a white face' and we had a crap night at some sausage-fest. I turned to my friend and said "Mate, Korean girls don't like white guys". It was a Keanu Reeves 'What if' moment. (Note: My friend is a legit 9/10, and he didn't get a flag in his year there.)

Though I lived in Ulsan (a small city with one club). I do think there is hope in Itaewon (but maybe only with 6's and some 7's who are white-chasers), and there is potential with online game. But pulling by cold approach is fucking difficult if you're not Korean (or Korean-American) IMO. Hats off to any white guy who's pulled more than once this way, they're a better player than I will ever be. Pulling finals time for sure.

(Just to note. I don't see myself as one for making excuses. Taipei is often classed as hostile to white guys (if you want quality), but I maintain that being white is no excuse to not get laid in Taipei. You just have to elevate yourself above the sausage hoard. Being an English teacher is no excuse either.)

But yeah, Korea is tough, and many men have fallen, but God dammit, reading this thread is making me want to move to Seoul!!!

Met a light-skinned Korean girl on NYE. Not top shelf but I'd say a solid 7 with a cute face, short but not ridiculously so, and surprisingly good curves in all the right places.

She was traveling with a Chinese girl. They were both really friendly and open to my approach. After I first went and talked with them and started dancing, we separated on the floor and they came and sought me out where I was standing afterward. We were getting our dance on and I got the feeling that she'd have been pretty keen to try out some whiteboy but that it would take longer than the couple days she had left here (maybe). In all seriousness, though, I would love to check out the Korean language and culture. So far I can only read/write Hangeul, but I can barely say anything.

The women are among my absolute favorite, and I've probably got the best recent memories from that one Korean fling from last(-last) year. I developed a fetish for them in China. Compared to the mainland Chinese girls with their-ultra tacky sense of fashion, the Korean exchange students looked like fucking model-goddesses. I agree with you. Always gonna be tougher outside of Seoul. Only went there three times. I am absolutely NO authority on Seoul. I only talk in terms of Ulsan and Busan. (I went to Busan semi-regularly. It's no place to go. It's Seoul or bust in my opinion).

But in terms of Ulsan/Busan. Honestly man, didn't see one. My friend should have been the one to kill it, due to his impeccable looks, didn't happen though. (Seriously, he's comparable to the dude from Maroon 5).

As a reminder (perhaps off-topic): You gotta remember that opinions from English teachers are often embellished. So sometimes general opinions can skew a place. Thus, I implore everyone to only consider the viewpoints of those here at RVF. You can trust people here. Reports of 'My friend killed it in Korea' are a dime a dozen, and often exaggerated.

Let's have an example: My acquaintance 'Thomas', an American English teacher, who currently lives in Taipei.

Thomas told me of his fun times in Seoul. He told me how he pulled frequently, and he specified how he got immense attention on Halloween when he went out in a suit.

He said he had a great time in Seoul, and he said I picked the wrong city. He said I was doing it all wrong. He told me that I should go back to Seoul and try to mimic his experience. He also told me that Korean and Taiwanese girls were easy, and they jump at a white guy with blonde hair (like me).

BJ can be VERY humid and VERY smoggy in the summer. In terms of the former think sweating buckets regardless how little you move, in terms of the former think not being able to see across the street on a bad night. Also, while I was there it poured like hell, which wasn't all that bad considering it was summer time. Since the streets are built in a slightly concave manner (bad city planning), this means the streets look like canals and the cars look like boats when this happens.

I still found it enjoyable in the summer, though. Just be prepaired.

Dabbled in online once and met this one girl I went out on a couple dates with. No bang, though. Almost all of the game I did while there was in clubs, first in Sanlitun then I shifted more over to Wudaokou, particularly in that area's two main clubs Paradise and Sensation. Wudaokou itself is jam packed with Korean exchange students and uni students in general. So if you're into Koreans that's the place to be. Just keep in mind the Korean girls in Beijing are a bit more clannish and elitist than the Koreans I've met in Germany and here in Japan.

Also, for taking girls out on dates, Nanluoguxiang and Houhai are really cool spots. Didn't try picking up that many girls there, though.

Yes, surprisingly, dancing is huge in Cambodia (at least according to my experiences in SR). Not just at tourist spots either - at the local discos. It's kind of cool after spending a lot of time in Thailand and Laos. The local youngsters even go out sober because they don't have the loot and spend all night dancing it up with friends, though plenty of drinking goes down too. Pretty common for local friends to invite you to go out dancing with them.

You don't see as much grinding and making out as you would back home - it's more social fun than seduction - and some girls will back you up if you try to get too close, even if they like you. But it does happen.

The teenagers and 20-somethings seem to emulate American culture in a lot of ways (the way they dress, hip hop music, etc), so I think that's where it comes from. On NYE I joined the family that owns the hotel I rent an apartment at for a big dinner and the teenager was blasting some gangster rap right in Grandma and grandpa's ear all through dinner, but the old-timers didn't speak any English so they had no idea what they were listening to anyways. Funny.

Anyways, the Chinese and Korean girl were in a spot frequented by tourists, but for New Years the place was flooded with locals.

All that said I can't promise you'll like it here. LOL It's still not Thailand. I'm probably an oddball in that I could be comfortable here for long periods.

I'm pretty ready to move on. But for the most part I've been tucked into my room and getting used to the not drinking and getting my shit together thing. I'm not so much here because I love it as I'm here because it's convenient. I feel like I have nowhere in the world to be at the moment and am trying to teach myself not to rush through life so much. And as I mentioned before, I can sort of get used to anywhere.

The way I see it is that in any given place, you end up falling into a basic routine and only do so much stuff on a regular basis. So I figure that as long as I have the basics and then the novelty of a foreign place to keep me entertained I stay pretty satisfied.

My feet are getting restless though and the dating options could definitely be better. I've got a few things going but nothing I'm very stoked on. And Siem Reap is a rather small city, which can be problematic....

That said, I don't think it would take very long to lock in a decent-looking girlfriend for a while if I knew I was staying, which I have never made a decision about this whole time. The place is most certainly not crawling with datable women but they are here. Just not the best place for a playboy.
