That had to be the most contentious date I've read about on Date Lab. From jump her defenses were up - he never had a chance. She definitely carries a bit of a chip, and unless she determines a guy is "her type" immediately, he probably won't get a real shot.

We should have a courtesy service where we forward the Date Lab participants our sidelines breakdown. This shit is hilarious. Debates over "hover-hand" and the use of "positive random". You'd think we were highly paid political analysts.

On no other forum I know of would you have such a recourse that's determined to strip away the bullshit and rhetoric and call it for what it is.

Lizard, you can fantasize about that, but sometimes with some girls, there's nothing inside that frame. It's sad and disappointing, but there are people who don't have much of an interior life. And it's too bad since she's attractive and is not a carousel-rider and appears to have a lot of the qualities that are valorized on RVF, but it's often not worth the effort and frustration to deal with girls who don't give you anything to work with.

If you're in the game, there's tons of selection bias. If you're doing night game, you're meeting girls who would be at a bar and a club rather than hanging out at home knitting with their same group of friends. If you're doing day game, you're meeting girls who make themselves approachable. If one of those girls initially acts like Kaitlin, you can do some work and see if you can get her emotionally excited. But if it's a girl who is being fixed up by you by a national newspaper, then maybe not.

Kaitlin is cute, but she isn't fly enough to be a bitch. If her body is bangin', and not simply average (I detect some sloppiness about the arms from the pic of her in the silver dress), that would take her up a notch or two. The claw is a loose sort of head-lock.

I've been dealing with center of gravity issues with some of the chicks who are either smaller or taller than me.

My sense now is that you have to make sure that you and the girl's center of gravity is always on the same level.

So with a small girl you can pick her up, or bend your knees a little. With a tall girl, you have to stand tall. Either way don't shrug your shoulders and make sure you are using your core muscles to hold up your torso.

Since she is now 25, my guess is that that interview took place at least three years ago. She may have lost some weight since then. In the D.C. area, she is far above average, although it appears as though the attractiveness of girls in the area has increased quite a bit during the past three or four months.

I can't imagine many women who would risk admitting liking a guy when there is a real risk he might not be interested - when its in the Washington Goddamn Post!

Most women I know have very vulnerable egos, don't handle rejection well, and are very concerned about what others think of them. The dice are loaded right from the start. Of course she's going to try to preempt his rejection with her own rejection of him. Heaven forbid the world finds out a guy finds her unfuckable.

I once met a girl online. We had drinks and in the parking lot we made out. While we were making out she told me she thinks I'm so cute. I wasn't in to her.
