Low testosterone, Cialis, and Condoms
I'm writing to tell you what happened to me and I'm asking for advice on how to proceed. First, some stats:
Age: 39
Height: 5' 9" (175 cm)
Weight: 133 lbs (60 kgs)
No smoking
Very light social drinker
I have always had a problem with low sex drive. Usually once a week is enough for me. I enjoy my career and spent a lot of time on it. I used internet porn about once a week for years. It has had a disastrous effect on me. I have been reading men's blogs like return of kings and forums like this one. I committed myself to get cleaned up and get game.
A month ago, I got tested and talked to my doctor about ED. My total testosterone level is: 291 ng/dl. The reference range given by the lab is 249 - 835 ng/dl. Yes it is very low. My TSH is normal at 1.73 mU/l (0.27 - 4.20 range). I am reading on how to raise testosterone levels naturally. I'm eating better and have started lifting weights.
In the meantime I also tried Cialis. I took one pill and masturbated without porn. Just fantasizing about sex with previous girlfriends. It worked! I got hard and stayed hard for more than an hour. And so I thought to myself: even with low T, Cialis worked wonders. Maybe it's not such a big problem after all.
I am slender and look young for my age. I got a cute 20 year old student to go on a weekend trip with me. I thought I was going to have crazy sex with her with Cialis all weekend. That's not what happened. I got hard when she gave me oral. But when I put on a condom to have vaginal sex, I started going soft. We couldn't do it for more than a few minutes before I lost my erection. WTF happened? In the end, she made me cum by giving me a handjob. I was only semi-hard then. This happened again several times over the weekend. I would get hard without condoms. And when the condom came on, I start going soft. There was no alcohol at all that weekend. So it's not that.
This has happened before when I was in my 20s and had no problems getting hard. I have only had great sex with one girlfriend and it's because she was on birth control and we did it without condoms. Other girlfriends were not on birth control and I had to use condoms. Even in my 20s, my hard on got softer when using a condom. I could still have good sex then. Maybe went from 100% to 90%. But now at 39, I'm going from 100% to 70-75% hard with a condom.
Has this happened to any of you guys before? Cialis did work. I got rock hard for more than an hour just rubbing it and thinking about sex with previous GFs. No porn, just fantasies in my head. Porn is very bad for you and I know that. But Cialis stopped working when I was with a real girl and the condom came on.
I will try to raise my testosterone levels naturally. In the meantime, do you have any advice that you can give me on this problem?
It's hard to have sex with a girl without condoms. I'm not looking to get anybody pregnant or catch a disease. But I don't want to get into a long term relationship just to try bareback either. But I need to find out if I can still do it without condoms.
thanks,

RE: Low testosterone, Cialis, and Condoms
But you have to also remember things can inhibit the effect of Cialis. If you took it after a really heavy and fatty meal it will slow the absorption rate. Fat does not respond well to the pill and will slow things down by a lot. Also, some people just respond quick and slower to it, and it might be the dosage. I only need a quarter of a pill, and sometimes even just a half of that quarter does the job. Absorption for me is best when I take it before bed a day before I know I am going to need it.
Cialis can be a trap. Like after a while your body realizes its a fake boost and something gets lazy. I had a mean streak with Cialis for a few months but have cut it out for now to try and restore the natural timing again.
With a few adjustments to lifestyle you shouldn't even need it. Cialis should only be for special occasions or when you know you need to rail a broad all night long for whatever reason.
Missing from your post is your though is stuff on your diet, career (stress?), sleep patterns which are all important for male sex health. Give us some details on those parts of your life.
Reducing stress, hitting a squat rack, eating more healthy fats like coconut oil, and getting more sleep may just be all you need to get things back in check.

RE: Low testosterone, Cialis, and Condoms
Honestly, this sounds like a troll.
It's your first post and it's about having sexual problems, low T, no porn, using Cialis, etc.
TRT, Cialis, etc. have been discussed on the forum many times. Run a search and read some of those threads.
I could be wrong that this is a troll, hope I am, about this smells funny.

RE: Low testosterone, Cialis, and Condoms
I have no idea why this guy was accused of trolling and banned as his story is fairly typical, but it's interesting that he has all of these problems despite masturbating to porn only once a week. That is usually not enough to cause such severe ED that not even Cialis can help, but I guess some people might be extra susceptible. Of course, low testosterone levels probably have something to do with it. Right now, you're floating in the limbo where you're not impotent, but the reduced sensitivity (and extra stress) from putting on a condom are enough to push you into it. You have to escape that nether zone.
Here's what I'd recommend:
- clean eating: cut out all forms of sugar, white or brown. Eat honey if you have to. Snack on nuts and almonds and eat more fish.
- more exercise:
- stop masturbating to fantasies. This is only a step better than internet porn, but if you have a powerful imagination (which I suspect you do, at least I have), this can be just as overstimulating. Don't masturbate for several weeks (if you can help it), but if you must masturbate, do it with very light strokes (maybe also some lubricant) and no fantasies. Also, put on a condom in the middle of masturbation to get used to it.
- don't take Cialis. It will only make things worse. Being dependent on both porn/fantasy AND Cialis is way worse than being dependent on just porn/fantasy.
- If your issue persists, be sure to test if all your glands are working properly.
- Try to just cuddle with your GF (was this Beta?), without forcing yourself to get erect. Let it happen when it happens.
