I'll most likely be staying in the colonial zone or Gazcue for reference sake.

There is a small gym in zona colonial for $1.00 (40 pesos) per visit. Its located in the fruit market just north of Parque Independencia. At first I thought all the old equipment was generic. Then I noticed that under the dust some of them have nautilus shells. This is where old gym equipment goes to die... The place is all dumbells, barbells, and about 20 machines. There is one old treadmill for cardio.

Go to this gym. Fuck the 500 pesos(12 dollars) when you could go to a gym for 400 pesos. Includes all the essentials and free weights.

You can also go to Guibia square ( malecon), UASD or Centro Olimpico. In those places there are facilities to do exercise outdoors, and many dominicans go there so you can make some friends.
In Guibia you can join a free Zumba class. In UASD you can learn Salsa for cheap with cute students. In Centro Olimpico you can run together the dominican national women team of Volley ball.
You have many options

A have a question about the driver? He charges $50 per day or per person? Do you have to pay extra for gas, his food, drinks and hotel?

I'm gonna go to bed...

this night involved...

-Cops searching us.
-Getting off in a random sketchy neighborhood because we didn't wanna overpay for taxi.
-I was in a taxi with a crazy taxi driver who didnt' know where the hell he was going.
-Barra Payan sandwiches, and a thirsty german girl hitting on 20nation.

hahaha that does happen a lot! Sounds like a good night, why were the cops searching for you guys? How did things go with the German girl?

THC, Fisto, and 20 were doing pullups in a random area. I guess they were thinking we were trying to get up there. Or maybe they were trying to shake us down.

20Nation rejected german girl.

Btw, Fisto posted a summary of the night on his website-

The driver drove me around for my whole stay. It ran me 60 usd a day. You can split it up between people.

I bought him beer and food, but you don't have to.

You want to know the only thing you can assume about a broken down old man? It's that he's a survivor.

Drank from last night until 1pm today. thanks to kavakid and torontokid for being patient with us.

We were meant for far more than to suffer in our self created prisons only to die alone. It doesn't have to be that way. It never did.

Let us know how it is compared to SD. I'm considering it for my second tour of DR.

I have a new appreciation for Calle Venezuela. Euphoria was a great club on this night. The music was not insanely loud. Just loud. I think I would go there next time at around 4am on a Saturday night. The show will be getting out, girls will be a little tipsy as they pour onto the sidewalk.

Fisto, 20nation and THC are the real fuckin deal. Alpha as fuck while still being smooth. Me and Torontokid had a bit of an upgrade in our game style as we went more direct as their game rubbed off on us (that sounded bad).

We had a balcony table. I got watch Fisto and the others making approaches on the main floor below. It was like watching a muliplayer arcade game. I would say that I wish I had a joystick (to control which girls they approached), but that would sound bad too.

At one point torontokid said we should go bring some girls back to our table. We almost brought back one of the few sets that was all girls. A 8.5 straight chick with 2 hot young lesbians. When Fisto passed by I grabbed him and introduced him. That was kinda fun. It was like having my own Superman Avatar.

On the sidewalk after the show Fisto tried to pull a girl away from me by the hand. I practically body pinned the girl to the wall to prevent it and told him "No! Bad Fisto! This one is mine!". Then there was an altercation with her girlfriend because she stole his chair. I followed my girl to try to get the number. All her friends including a 250 lb dude circled me with a look like "I think we can take on THIS guy, he's not FISTO". I think I said Adios in record time.

Anyhow....it was.... EPIC.

We got a ton of numbers. Torontokid was is one set where the dominican dude was telling him to take all the numbers of the girls he brought.

That was a good time. It was good to have a bunch of legit guys together. You guys should have stayed for our drunken exploration through the back alleys of santo domingo este.

You guys went on a drunken back alley exploration?!! You should have told me you were going!!! I am really sad I missed it.... I did catch Fisto buying the 40s from the house of "the hottest pregnant woman ever". And that poor hamburger saleswoman. Man, Fisto leaves a trail of broken hearts...

Naw man, I improved my game a ton that night. In RSD they test each other's game by trying to gently pull the girl away from each other.

I took my direct game to the next level thanks to you guys. I noticed that the fact that I'm not built like the Rock (cough*fisto*cough) didn't seem to impede my game too much.

Unfortunately, for better or for worse, I never made it to the D.R. This was the first time I've ever canceled a trip that I had planned before. I was on the east coast visiting family outside D.C. when the big winter storm hit and all the crazy flight cancelations were occurring.

My flight connected through JFK and it was canceled, and when I called the airline to reschedule they offered to refund me my ticket cost if I canceled the flight. At first I rescheduled it, but then the more I thought about it, I realized that I'd be wearing myself thin financially by spending 5 weeks in the D.R. which I estimated would have cost me at least 5 grand the way I like to travel.

Now, that I'm back in Cali, I kind of regret not going, but the weather has been amazing here, it was literally 74 degrees and sunny here a couple weeks ago, and I got a pretty fine girl I'm dating. It's too bad though because I know the D.R. would have been off the hook and I would have loved to meet the entire RVF Dominican crew. Oh well, I don't doubt I may end up crossing paths with some of them down the line.
