Flakey girls in Corrdoba Arrgentina -- can I do something other than move cities?
I really like it here; and apparently other forum members do too. But the flakiness is incredible. I have had dates where I've confirmed with the girl that we have a date the night before, and the morning of; and had her flake with no text or phone call (I then deleted her phone number afterwards). I've collected about 30 different phone numbers from day gaming and night game; and almost all of them just don't answer; or give me excuses when I try to push for meeting up. Yes I know Brazil and Colombia are better; but I'm biding my time to hit Brazil when my financial situation is better and when the World Cup goes down; later next year. Even my super player friend who has had massive success in Argentina has told me that he finds the girls here really frustrating here (histerica).

I've slept with 4 Corrdobaise girls in my month living here; it's not like I've had no success... but I don't know what I can do to increase my ratio of meeting a girl ==> getting her phone number ==> meeting up with her. Only two of these four came from cold approach pickup.

From what I've heard from Corrdobaise girls; it's that the guys here are so pushy and mean if you reject them; that more often than not the girls will give you their phone number if they have no intention of ever seeing you again. I don't see nearly this flakiness in the States where girls who give me their phone number have a high probability of wanting to see me.

So you can give me actionable feedback; I have these specific questions
1) I normally (for the last 30 phone numbers I had) followup immediately with WhatsApp when I have their phone number. I have begun waiting 2-3 days to message them for the first time. Should I keep doing this?
2) When I come to inviting them out; they always seem to be busy. How many times should I invite them out before I give up? I have begun to get pissed off if they don't offer another time to hang out and I invite them out two times. As in I text them that they shouldn't give their phone number out if they have no intention of meeting me.
3) Is it wrong to think that if you invite the girl one time and she offers no suitable other time to hang out... or is vague like "let's talk next week"... that she doesn't want to see me and I should waste no more time with her?
4) I have seen some people send out mass weekly texts to girls that they presumably haven't seen Does this strategy make any sense?
5) Anything I'm missing here? I've tried as an experiment calling them instead of sending the first text; with the result that no one picked up my phone calls.

Your thoughts would be welcome. Thank you!

So you got 4 bangs out of 30 numbers in one month and it's not good? What is your usual rate?

I'm not saying 'not good'. I'm very grateful of any success I've had here. Keep in mind two of the four came through social network introductions; and I knew the girl through friends.

I'm more concerned with how to improve my ratio of meeting up for a first date from a girl I've approached from the street or out a club.

Four notches in a month in Argentina is nothing short of excellent. I'm seeing some unusual posts with Colombian flags next to them.

Sounds like I should just keep doing what I'm doing. I wish I was better at text game. Maybe it boils down to the fact that I didn't build enough attraction prior to asking for her phone number if she blows me off when I push to meet up.

Yeah, it is strange.

I think Colombia makes people lose their mind.

I think you can only ping girls so much on ColombianStupid before you go batty.

And since you are in Cordoba, is there any truth to this:

Quote:With word on the street being that there was no police around, the looting gained traction and became widespread as soon as the sun went down . At least nine supermarkets were looted in Córdoba City alone. Some policemen remained out on the streets, but they were in no way capable of stopping the mob. The Cordiez supermarket was attacked by a group of around to 50 people, stealing anything they could. After a few minutes, this is what the supermarket looked like:

wait, 4 girls a month in Cordoba? What attractiveness ranking would you give them?

30 numbers and 4 bangs? Holy hell that's not bad, I've been toying with the idea of going to argentina after Colombia.

(12-08-2013 06:22 PM)Steve Derekson Wrote:  It has nothing to do with your texting. There is a major issue in Mediterranean-minded nations where people move in packs. It is the collectivism that is hurting you.

My experiment at first was this: Do half-hour sets and focus on connection+attraction and then do 5-minute sets focusing only on attraction. My first numbers would respond to a few texts and then flake. My second numbers would never respond and I suspect they were false numbers.

If a woman from this culture gives you a real number, something she would never do with a local guy that hits on her for a couple minutes, she likes you and wants to go out with you, IN THAT MOMENT.

Then, she goes to her friends, and in true "mother-hen" fashion, the friends will make the decision for her. The women in these countries have zero individuality, if you look closely they all dress the same, they all do the same things, and think the same. Therefore, if you build a reputation in your social circle, it is very EASY to manipulate these girls into sleeping with you, but at the same time it is an enormous barrier to cold-approach.

I have developed a buffer against this, and it works very well. It consists of two parts:

1. The money trap: Convince her, plausibly, that you have money even if lying is needed. Also, construct a profession where your profile, when presented to her social circle, is that of a serious respectable man. My back story is: After my studies, I travelled for a few years and then I had some friends here that helped me become a university professor. If she asks how I travelled I mention my parents helped me. First, this shows the girl I have cash (incentive to break away from social circle). Second, a professor is a serious man, and will break the social circle's idea of the "niñato" that flirts on the streets. The friends may try to attack the low wage of the professor, but she has it backed up by your "travels" and by the "friends" that help you ascend to a professorship in her country.

2. The envy trap: This is one that took me long to develop, but boy is it effective. Essentially, it is a form of qualification where the girl must be able to directly relate your standards to her experience of the social circle. You are using the fact that all women hate each other to your benefit. The routine goes a bit like this:

- I've noticed that in this country there is a huge collectivism, everybody thinks the same way, everybody does the same things, it is like a nation of robots? You're not a robot are you? [she qualifies herself]. But, I'm sure you must let your friends make a lot of decisions for you, like whenever you have to make a decision you go to your friends?

- You know, another thing I noticed is that it is a really envious country. There is a lot of backstabbing here. The other day I was hanging out with some friends, and one of the girls sees a guy come in, and she points out how attractive he is. Then, he starts paying attention to another girl in the group, and everything changed. She starts telling her some really messed up stuff: "He does this with every girl." "He might be a mass murderer"... [buffering each individual objection that might come up with a bit of comedy throughout to keep the vibe fun]. But, you know, she did it just because the other girl had what she WANTED. There is so much of that here.

Then, the girl will go to the friends, these objections will come up, and she will be referenced back to your point. She will see the objections as envy, something she is prone to anyway because women are all in competition with each other. Then, she will act on her desire (which hopefully you instilled by creating attraction + connection), and ignore the friends completely.

Once you implement these things, your flake rate goes down to the level of a hard but not-so-hard country like France, which I can deal with.

Utter chaos is an understatement. I'm not in downtown, but in a (normally) safe neighborhood, about a 15-20 minute walk; and we heard a loud bang; apparently someone was trying to break into one of the nearby stores. About 5 minutes later we heard gunshots; the police were chasing the bandits down our street. It was then that the owner of the house told me I better store my motorcycle inside the garage... told me to bring my machete for protection. Thank God nothing happened to us or my bike that night. The majority of the disorder was looting local businesses including the Korean owned minimarket down the street. They just busted down the front doors.

Apparently the whole deal is politically motivated. The police went on strike demanding better pay (12,000 pesos per month; they currently receive 6,000). The dollar is about 10 pesos on the parallel 'Blue' market. So $600->$1200. In any case, the governor of the Cordoba province refused to pay them more... and thus the stuff you read about really did happen. The next day, the police had the leverage to say, "see, you really do need us" and a deal was quickly reached. This is what you see. What you don't see apparently, is that the governor wants to be the next president. The theory is, some of his opponents may have ties with the police chief and told him to go on strike. This strike led to the chaos you saw. This way, you could show the Argentine people, "look, if he can't even keep Cordoba safe, how will he keep Argentina safe?". Anyways, things are back to normal now; but for awhile there I was seriously questioning my desire to live here for 3-6 months.

motoman, yes, the situation in cordoba was a mess, and now it is spreading to other provincies. but do not dispair, it is not we are going to a civil war or anything.

And about your rate, hey, 4 notches in a month is more than good here in Argentina.

I know someone in Argentina and asked him about it. The violence spread to most of the larger cities. There are now ten deaths nationwide stemming from the violence. Here is a slide-show with some photographs of the results of some of the violence:

http://www.eltribuno.info/salta/353380-M....note.aspx

The mob is populated by youngsters of the poor uneducated underclass (that form the largest electorate base for Kirchner), who receive most of the loot from the nation's welfare programs but who cannot afford the luxury goods to which they feel entitled. In other words, socialism in action.

If your Spanish is up to speed, there are a host of news stories on the topic available here:
