Problem with marriage is, when you marry a best friend or someone who would take a bullet for you, then what? Would you stab a friend in the back, because that's essentially what you are doing. I prefer to reward good deeds and good behaviour, sure it takes some serious willpower to stay married, I find that women hit on you WAY more when you are married. The thing is, I had my wife carry me to the hospital (she's just a small thing) while I was dying of heart failure (low potassium). And it was a long haul up a hill, not easy and nobody would help. So for that, I'm willing to give up variety, even if it IS a daily struggle. Some people deserve the best.

I find myself asking my wife alot if she wants a divorce or to meet other men, just in case, if she doesn't, I get kids and a nice family. If she does, I'll leave on a moments notice and be banging 20 year old Mexican/Thai broads all day long. It's a win-win situation either way.

Respectfully, that's a lose-lose situation for you because
a) If youre asking her that a lot, shows you're insecure OR have cold feet
b) Makes her more likely to be resentful
c) Puts the onus of any eventuality you pursue, on her actions (ideally, if you want marriage and kids, YOU will not cheat. She should be happy with that.) I mean, if you could've banged 20year old broads, will you do it bec SHE acts in a particular way? No. You do it(or not) if you decide its the best course for you.

Once upon a time, my wife saved my life too. I know exactly how you feel, and if you're comfortable being with just her, do that.

But I had to be honest with myself. At the time this drama was going on, I told her the truth: I just can't be with one woman. It was the most difficult thing I'd ever done, but after what she'd done for me I felt she deserved the truth. It was an ugly, painful day. But because of it, I'm free to live my life as I see fit and so is she.

I wasn't hypothesizing that it would be permanent.. just that it would be possible that a spillover did happen occasionally.

Its impossible to continuously get the same kind of rush for every thing one did. So one goes on up-up-upping the stress/fear/difficulty/pay-off of the activities to get the same kind of rush one did in the beginning. And beyond a while,even that's not enough.

Kind of like a drug(or coffee) habit that starts of small and snowballs until finally even the maximum feasible dose produces no significant effect.

I think the problem might be slightly alleviated by ebbs and flows?
A period of usage followed by a period of induced abstinence to reset the dopamine levels?
(Although even here, if its a routine 10 day use 10 day abstinencecycle, the body will probably get adjusted to that.)

Just theory though, will have to put this into practice to see if it actually translates to real life.

I am not advising you anything.

Ive read a lot of your posts on RVF and you seem like an insightful poster and think that you'll probably have taken the appropriate measures chasing the dragon.

A reset does help, whether it is naturally or deliberately induced.
However, there are degrees to which you can go back.

Can you experience the rush of emotion when you first had mind blowing sex? No.
Can you get back a modicum of excitement, a certain degree of pleasure on the second bang? Perhaps.


I was a hookah addict for 4 years straight.

For four years, I tried to recapture the "magic" of the first few months.

Sure, I abstained from hookah occasionally, and that made me more desperate once I went back, and marginally improved the pleasure of it...but that was probably from the stress of trying to kick the habit.

2 reasons why you probably will never be able to recapture the past "glory", so to speak, might be -

1- The brain will distort your past memories to make them more palatable to you. The memory you have of yourself and your experiences in the past will be exaggerated towards the positive end of the spectrum.

You will now remember yourself being happier at a point in time than you actually were. The impact of significant events such as 26/11, your first fight, the first time you made a girl squirt etc will appear to be more than what it was...and you may essentially be chasing an impossible target.

2- Beyond a certain number of repetitions, I think one becomes weary / jaded of an activity which involves(or at least in the beginning involved) some sort of reward such as a dopamine hit. No amount of stop gaps or resets can help beyond this stage. The neural wiring just wont change unless something really drastic happens, and that something drastic might often be traumatic and/or paralyzing... not a neurobiologist or anything, so I can't corroborate this claim.

This state of disrepair may be temporarily offset by the spillover of emotions from a highly rewarding newer activity.

Hence the first question to you.

Earlier this year I met an AMAZING WOMAN to this day I'm fascinated by how social she is and how much we "complemented" each other. In all honesty, we would've meshed really well due to our polar opposites in terms of our lifestyle. The problem was ME and how I am.

In my mind, MONOGAMY is a very selfish act because I know how amazing I am and to only give that potential experience to ONE WOMAN is by default selfish. On a more PERSONAL GROWTH level what I loved about this year is the wide range of personalities that showed me different aspects about women that I liked and disliked. The LOVE I had for her wasn't the same as the LOVE I had for say the chick I consider my CLONE. Anytime, I meet new women I'm excited to see how things will mesh, what new surprises and breakthroughs may come from our interaction. For instance...

- Met a chick who made me "Grounded" in myself as a man since to her all other women were missing out
- Two best friends, I fool around with both BUT the way we interact is different between the two

Based on everything in my life, I feel as if monogamy is me accepting the fact that I no longer want to grow and make drastic breakthroughs. When I was with the chick I loved earlier this year, I did not feel any need to mess with any other chicks. Ironically, enough I love the fact that she was "my other half". You'd watch her owning a venue while I just chill back. By the end of the night we were having wild sex that no one could even imagine.

I think this type of stuff can only possibly happen if BOTH OF YOU ARE QUALITY PEOPLE...

I knew my self-worth and the fact that I am in a situation where I NEVER have to settle down because I could be 40-50 and still get gorgeous women. As I've read in some of the posts already, in my opinion it's more about your age.

Any cat that is under 30 years old should not even consider exclusive relationships. You can try them out if you like but in most cases it's going to be detrimental to your game and overall experience in some way.

30-40 depending on your energy levels you might want to slow down the flow of new girls. But you most likely will be focusing on money above all at this point as a player who has options and would rather keep a few girls in rotation if possible rather than one exclusive girlfriend.

40+ is where I see energy levels to game will be down much more than when you were really young. At this point it all depends on the player. I think any man who 'settles down' at this point is making a good choice only if he's a man with options due to his game and becomes exclusive with a girl that meets his standards and is much younger than him.

Distant Light this seems to be along the same lines of thinking as mine. I am married and have mentioned in other posts that although it is a monogamous gesture to be legally bound to each other, off paper we have and will continue to have a polyamorous lifestyle with me wanting other women and that it is an unstoppable force within me to consistently have other women. She has accepted it and my frame of not budging from my base instincts that it actually has made us happier. I don't know how it works and haven't applied my mental capacity to pick it apart thoroughly as I feel anytime I sit back and think WHY I do things they then became harder to duplicate knowing the science behind it. I go with my gut and instincts and that is what I think continues to be my saving grace< especially with women but moreso other areas of my life


I have found one thing though that works for maintaining a life with one woman and it is hobbies. I ride 20 miles of road bike every few days, given good weather, with my girl and she feels like she is apart of something with me and that's just 1 hobby. Most of these other girls I have when I'm not with her join in on my hobbies and also feel like they are apart of something. I know what they mean by feeling apart of something but seems harder to prove,verbally.

SHe always comments on how she can tell that I fall into LUST with at least 1 woman any time we go out. Most times it''s a woman that we both are attracted to on a beauty level. Once we get her into our rotation she is with me for her physical attractiveness and perhaps some good convo or she is a general fun person, but with my wife she likes to connect with these women from a " Isn't my husband a wonderful guy" perspective. Talk about DHV, all provided vicariously by my wife. This lifestyle GIVES my wwife a way to be a part of something that she also likes herself. I never doubted who I am and what i want in my relationships and that has enabled me to be in a marriage but maintain a side stream of girls that I want to be with to "keep my sanity" so to speak.



There are girls out there who are ideal for situations like this. It took me to "sow my wild oats" to realize what made me happiest and now after going after this "happiness" I get to live what I first created in my mind. Don't think This would have been figured out if I first hadn't spent my teens and early 20's chasing lots of tail and gaining intel into what and with who I could live this lifestyle with. Debriefing every female does have it's advantages after all. Take notes, adjust, calibrate do whatever you gotta do to tailor what you want, how you want it and you could perhaps arrive at the answer you want someday. For some it could come later(invest more energy/time if it's an immediate goal) and others earlier like me and I'm only 27.

In our time together she's only seen 1 dude like me but was much shorter than my 6'2". I told her the direction I wanted to live my life when we were in that initial meeting stage. I didn't have bullshit questions with career,kids, material things. I got down to brass tacks and let her know what I wanted/needed out of her and that it"s going to be me and her,no guys, and some girlfriends from time to time.


Also, I've slowly steered the conversation toward that question when she's been drunk, stoned, sober, sick, during PMS and what not and her answer always is the same with no variation. A deadpan NO with a lengthy explanation as to why. I can metaphorically phrase it as a lioness always sticking by that one Supreme Alpha lion. Other lionesses(sp?) may fall in and out of the equation or run off with another Alpha but she's my constant lieutenant and truly believes sticking by her man and honoring the contract we both agreed to sign(marriage license). Rare, I know, but this woman has very easy tells if she were to lie and or be deceptive in any way and I am able to pick it up at the slightest hint and take it from there and tell her what SHE'S thinking. Thinks I can read her mind.

At the end of the day you still have to GAME your girl and make her want you, she obviously still really wants you, marriage changes nothing really. I do the same with my wife and I think by asking her if she wants a divorce, I'm communicating that I'm still highly in demand (which I am). It has nothing to do with insecurity, if she picked up and left tomorrow, I wouldn't be hurt. She knows that and it keeps the ball squarely in my court. She keeps herself thin and looking pretty, and she knows she is always competing against other women. I think its the same situation as the one above except he's banging more women. I couldn't do that, my old man did that to my mother and in the end it tore her up, plus I was always pissed off that the old man was busy getting his d1ck wet instead of teaching me how to use power tools or build things. I plan on having children and won't be doing this with my kids. Marriage is a sh1t contract for a man unless the man knows exactly what he is doing at all times.. The moment you give a woman power over you, even a little, she won't respect you. She values herself according to the challenge it requires to keep you faithful in a marriage.
