I couldn't figure out where to post this as the advice is not 'new' to the seasoned forum members but it is still good.

This is from the Havamal, a collection of verses claimed to be written/created by Odin.

[84] A man shall trust not | the oath of a maid,
Nor the word a woman speaks;
For their hearts on a whirling | wheel were fashioned,
And fickle their breasts were formed.

Even centuries ago women would flake, lie, change their minds and be otherwise crazy at the flip of a switch. Expect it, don't get mad when it happens and act while she's interested because she might not be tomorrow.
