$1k usd, the thai baht has took a battering as of late, so i reckon if I was there now perhaps a tad under like $850-900.

Biggest cost was clubbing and drinking at one point, was more than my rent, but know I now the cheapest places for bottles, where to get in free etc etc, helps quite a lot and reduces my cost.

in a nut shell thong lo - fancy restaurants and bars, over priced accommodation, everything generally a tad more expensive. 5 mins away from RCA, door step to /funky villa/demo/muse/Nung len (clubs).TL is mostly full of Western expats, japs, koreans, only thais will be the ones working there.


Lets say 3 bts stops away, On nut- more residential, cheaper for food, will get better value for apartments, full of residential thais. 10-20 mins away from thong lo depending on traffic/ 6-7mins on bts. Not as many fancy things on your door step.

Really depends what you are after. I'm a man of simple pleasures so i prefer the cheaper place. closest I lived was in ekkamai aravinda living home , which cost me 10k/month on a month to month lease, which are near damn impossible to find. Basic studio

for thong lo you are prob looking at 15k+ a month for an apartment for anything decent. I know of a few places near the BTS for 8k, but they are tiny and look depressing.

google "celi Bangkok", that is a god location in ekkami, as its on soi 10 more or less, which cuts staright into the heart of Thong lo. My mate is staying there now for 15k/month for a 1br, 6 month lease.

I've stayed at Aravinda Living Home a few times and like it overall but, damn, their bed mattresses are hard, even by Thai standards.
All the Thai girls I had back there agreed the beds were too hard.

Did you get them to sort it out if you were there for a few months?

yes they are quite hard, but I got myself a very nice bed pad for 500baht off a friend, really improved the quality by about 200%.

I think they go for like 1000 in Tesco usually. Well worth it if you are going to stay a long amount of time. I been told they now charge 12k a month for a room, so sorry if its not 10k any more.

If anybody ever saw a red bike outside that place, with a basket, it was mine, looked very girly.

I assume you mean Aravinda, within a 1 minute walk from the condo are two thai styled resturants, typical thai food, rice and meats, around 35-50 baht. Ekkamai gate way is about a 12-15 minute walk, (20baht motosi) (10baht motosi end of soi), and that has a food court with food from about 50baht.

If you wake up early enough, about 15second walk out of the hotel soi, a women opens a noodle stand till about 10-11am. I sadly only ever see it open when im walking back from a night out around 7-8am, so cant comment on the food.

In the actual soi it self there are there are a few sellers, from cold isan food, to the 100baht fishes, " LA MENG" which is noodle with pork. I got a video recording of the soi, ill try and get it uploaded when I get a chance. Im in Oz now, and the internet is not so great for uploading.

I am living in BKK for half a year. Did just go to those nightspots twice, as I do not like clubbing. But the girls I spend time with are going to these venues all the time in case they are drinking at all.

Of course you can find hot women if you go to these chosen places. Actually there are beautiful girls everywhere in Bangkok. I love the girls here and have a great time.

But this does not change the fact that I had much more fun with women in the mentioned countries. And this was as a tourist without hitting the expensive nightclubs and having to filter girls on their social status.

Wasnt it you who said a few days ago that people who know their way around and have a decent look and game are doing good with 6-7s in nightclubs? In most of the mentioned countries it is much easier and you would doing better girls with the same background and effort.

I wouldn't go to any nightclub if there was no girls. I'm not a homosexual, so that doesn't sound enjoyable.

What I take issue with is someone whose admittedly spent virtually zero time where the best girls in Bkk go, saying countries known to have low quality women (Peru, Chile, etc.) has better quality women. It may be true, though I doubt it. However, you hardly seem qualified to make a sweeping statement like "nearly all countries in south America have higher quality women.". While some may have, saying they nearly all do is obviously false.

You may be a super handsome guy who fucks girls way hotter than I do, but the number of guys who come on here, downplay Thai women, then admit they've spent nearly no time where high quality Thai women go is a bit out of hand. Had you said you've pulled several girls from RCA and still find Peruvian women more attractive I wouldn't have had an issue at all. But there's a ton of dudes out here eating sour grapes after they realize being a white dude with a pulse isn't going to net them any decent pussy.

If we ever run into each other I'd buy you a drink and legitimately like to hear about south America. We can always agree to disagree. The question was about a good place for women, not if you can find high quality women in Bangkok.

For the later we would have to discuss the word quality women, as everybody has their own opinion on this. It sounds that you have already adapted to to thai standards and that a high quality women is a girl that has a high status here in Thailand. A good job or a rich dad, graduated from a good university, good social circle, slim and in most cases a white skin.

These clubs might have one of the biggest population of them, but this does not mean that they are the only places where you can find girls like this. Many of the so called quality women do not even go out as they prefer working out over alcohol etc... Correct me if I got your picture of a quality women wrong.

With Peru and Chile you have chosen the two bottom examples out of the list, but still, even there you will find upper class women who can be really hot. Plus they will be more playful and better in the bed than the average Thai. It is just a much more passionate culture. We can turn it around: A few years ago I went to Venezuala. I did not even had heard of the word game and my looks has been worse than today. One night in the club in Venezuala I got approached by two rich models and two hours later we have been on the way to my hotel. I fucked it up a bit as I was staying in the worst shithole ever and was drunk as hell but was still invited to her birthday party on a roof-top bar of a 5 star hotel a few days later.
This is a bit different then waiting till girls get drunk and then walking from table to table and having to open groups in hope to get a few numbers and to be able to bang them on the 2nd "date", no?

Still, girls are great here and worth the effort. But it is a fact that in other countries you will be banging more girls of the same status with less effort.

The problem with judging Thailand properly is that most visitors stay only short term and usually go to the farang places. The quality of girls in those places has dropped dramatically over the past years. Years ago the bars, discos in BKK, Pattaya and Phuket were full of supermodels. This is not the case anymore -girls nowadays have a choice. Thats why some people complain about ugly girls.

In Thailand the distinction between a hooker and a normal girl is not as easy as in a western country. In a western country a prostitute fucks many customers per day and works in a brothel. She is not interested in going to disco with customers and is not looking for bf or husband. This type of prostitution exists in Thailand as well but caters to local customers. A thai bargirl, semi-pro, freelancer in disco would never consider herself as a prostitute. She wants fun, dance, drink and make some extra money. Due to this Thailand has gained the reputation of having beautiful and easy girls. But those girls do NOT represent the normal thai girl.

From what I have heard girls in Peru, Equador, Chile are ugly as hell - maybe they are much easier than thai girls. I dont want to fuck easy, but ugly girls!

Quality in Thailand is great if you stay away from P4P, maybe the best in SEA. For years I have observed foreign visitors in thailand - I fully understand that most of them fail. To find out what is needed to succesfully game normal thai girls takes time. However, I guarentee if joining some of the experts here to party at the right places, a decent looking, well dressed guy, even in his late 30s will be able to get laid with a beautiful thai girl.

December/January you can wear a light blazer at night. March/April/May is way to hot for a blazer.

Nice jeans, dress shirt, and quality shoes will put you in the top 10% of guys at the clubs. I would go more for a trendy look then dressy.

People aren't so much badly dressed as they are very casually dressed. Thai guys have decent style, but it leans either more casual, or as DD said, more trendy.

Suit game would be way over dressed for RCA, but may work well at soi 11. That said, it's about to get hot as balls and even a dress shirt and jeans is going to be hot as fuck. That's why you won't want to wear more than a dress shirt and jeans/chinos/trousers, layering will be 100% out of question.

No need to wear a suit ever really, going to come off very pretentious unless your at a Wedding. Soi 11 trys to sell it self as "hi so, trendy", but when in facts its full of tourists and wanna be hi so isan prostitutes/isans looking for white guys.

The very least anyone should wear is a t-shirt and jeans with closed footwear.
