Let's be real, the car is nothing like other sports cars that come with highly computerized safety net enhancements such as the 458, C7 Vette, GTR, etc. When you get past the exotic Boxster looks and ad copy, what you have is a ~600hp rwd Le Mans prototype with leather and air con and without stability control.

I think this was meant to be a real life promotional stunt for viral marketing of the movie since fast and furious 7 does come out next year.

Not to be a party pooper, but that crash happened in Tokyo Drift.

I agree with you, one of my buddies texted me this news today with a sad smiley, i guess it goes to show how powerful fame is. Also i agree with what midnite said, i used to drive really fast when i was younger, sometimes almost blackout drunk, i always said that if i crashed at least i would only be killing myself.

I don't think anyone here is celebrity-worshipping on this - at least not here on the forum. It's not worship to recognize a tragedy.

I say it's bummer if I hear some guy I didn't know in my hometown dies unexpectedly at a young age too. Or anyone from anywhere really. Especially if he comes across as a somewhat decent guy who hasn't fucked a bunch of people over. It's one thing when someone older passes who has had their chance to live; it's another when somebody young with everything going for them does.

In the instances of actors and musicians, etc, they get noticed because they're known worldwide and more likely to hit the radar. But people sympathize with deaths of people they don't know all the time; it's just part of being human.

I also think that as far as stargazing goes its not just an American tendency. People mourn in other countries when their celebrities pass away too. Hell, people in other countries are mourning this guy and they're not even American. LOL

Anyways, I don't vibe with celebrity-chasing and find it appalling the way grown folks act when a star walks in the room.

But nor do I vibe with "fuck that guy I didn't know him so who cares" mentality that I see some guys break out. Life's too short for that shit - I don't think we should take it that seriously and we definitely shouldn't take it that cynically.

At best, it's not worth the energy.

It's all hamster. These women all crushed and get wet for this guy hard. They hated the fact he married a young broad that wasn't then. When he has passed their lust and love could not be contained. Women were writing small poems to this guy on my FB. He had the lockdown on millennial poosy.
