This is really true. My ex is one of these sorts actually. She lives a life that is better than 98% of Indians in India, but it does not therefore make India a modern country by any stretch. It is a third world shit hole in the vast majority of places.

Pregnancy aside, obesity is becoming a big problem in India. This coincides with people having more income to spend on food. Lotta fatties roaming around in India who have never stepped outside their country

Indian genes are similar to Native Americans...they don't handle excess calories well and are prone to obesity-diabetes quite easily.
