When I came across this article today I thought it was just the right kind of uplifting, positive pearl of news to drop into the grey cesspool of cuckoldry that we so often see.

I don't think there is anything better this guy could have come home to. Considering what he was expecting.

The dark side to this is how much longer the marriage can possibly last. A former obese whale has transformed herself into a perfectly bangable 7. The siren's call of female hypergamy will be heard when the boys at the NCO club who wouldnt' give her a second glance are suddenly offering her help around the house the next time hubby is away on TDY/deployment.

She now wears sizes 7 through 9, she said.
"In the beginning, the first couple of months (were) hard because I guess, people telling me the cleansing of the body because you're still wanting that sugar, you're still craving that stuff, and now it's a lot easier," the 24-year-old mother told ABCNews.com. "Whenever I go grocery shopping it's like, I crave the healthy stuff over the non-healthy stuff. I mean, don't get me wrong, I do have a piece of cake here and there or whatever, but it's just the size of it and how often I do it."
Shaffer, who works as a personal grocery shopper, said she didn't do any exercise beyond going to work and taking care of her 3-year-old daughter, Nevaeh.
When Larry Shaffer got off the plane on Wednesday, he was stunned by his wife's weight loss. She had been standing behind a crowd of friends and family who had gathered to welcome him home, and when the crowd parted, Larry Shaffer got his first look at his newly slender wife.
"All he did was 'wow,'" Misty Shaffer recalled, adding: "All he can tell me is he so proud of me and he loved me before, no matter what … he's always seen me as beautiful. But he said whatever makes me happy makes him happy."

In the year that the Shaffers were apart, they would Skype and Misty Shaffer would send her husband pictures of their daughter and of herself - but she made sure that her images only showed her from the neck up. Her friends and family helped keep the secret, too.
"When they took pictures they would either edit them to where it was just shoulder up or didn't post them or either they blocked him to where he couldn't see it," she said.
Shaffer said she's happy with her success.
"I'm still like really conscious about my body but with clothes on and stuff I feel like I look good," she said.
Clothes actually played a big part in her decision to drop the weight.
"I just was like, all the cute clothes and stuff like that were in smaller sizes and it was hard to find bigger clothes and when you did it was so expensive, it was hard to buy them," she said.
She doesn't have that problem anymore. In fact, she described shopping as "Awesome.
"I'm like 'oh, that's cute. I can fit in it … I love it,'" she said.

Probably for the husband. If the husband was only gone for a year that entire time she was transitioning into becoming average-weight. We can be optimistic every once in a while, can't we?

She was still 250 in June so I think it's safe to say she didn't lose it to improve her chances with the locals.

That's some pretty epic weight loss for 6 months, especially since she claims she didn't exercise.

Definitely shows her weight was strictly diet related. Like most broads.

btw-Would smash. Like her look even if her arms are still a bit big.

Thing is, he married her when she was huge already, so I would think she lost it for him. And I'm glad she did it for him. She got family and friends in on it too, so in her case, I think we can toss out the premise that she did it to attract side dick. I'm not crazy about the fact that she didn't exercise, but she still showed incredible discipline and should be held up as an example to other fatties. The first step is controlling what and how much you eat, and not to cave in to the first craving you get. Her body is probably all loose and sloppy, though considerably smaller. Maybe hubby can get her to take the next step and try to harden up. They can work out together and make it something to bring them even closer. Then get her home and fuck some more calories off of her.

If she did it for him my guess is it's because she wants another kid and the doctor said she'd have an easier time conceiving if she shed a few pounds. But their marriage if fucked either way. She won't be able to handle the increase in male attention that she's now going to get.

Not my thing. There's no difference between 130 and 230 to me. My friend on the other hand is a rampant chubby chaser. He showers them with attention that I wouldn't give to a 10. It's sickening.

It's an Army thing, how do you think those career NCOs like Drill Sergeants, 1st Sgts and Sgts Major get so angry? Spend the first half of your career being chewed out by lifer's, returning from a field exercises to to get chewed out by a refrigerator sized wife. Army cats think this its normal to have a fatass wife since Army bases are predominantly in remote areas they don't know any better.

Yes, it is. When I lived in Texas/Oklahoma I saw many, many, MANY 6'0"+ dudes in great shape, well-dressed, with disgusting fat whales. I don't know what it is. My girl at the time noticed this and thought they were high school sweethearts and the girls had just let themselves go after being with the men so securely.
