The nature of consciousness has been debated by far more intelligent people than us for centuries and no one really knows or can explain what it is. So far the best bet is that it's just electricity running through neurons. If you die and there's no more electricity why would there be consciousness?

Not saying you're wrong, I'm saying how can we know?

It irks me to no end when people start using scientific sounding buzzwords to lend more authority and credence to whatever crap they're selling and "Quantum Physics" has been one of the most abused terms. People like Deepak Chopra became rich doing this.
