No worries, I stayed a this serviced apartment called the Morrissey. For a central location this place is awesome. It's a 15 minute walk to Grand Indonesia and tons of places to go during the evening for a drink. I got my room the first time for $66 a night, this past time I went I got it for $78. There is also a few other decent hotels near there, Ibis being the cheapest one at 40 a night.

If I ever do go back to Jakarta I will probably try staying in Kemang, it was just such a pain meeting up with friends for dinner during the evening. I also stayed away from the street food, I was on a short holiday and didn't want to risk getting the runs. If you just search in Google for top Jakarta bars, there is a solid website there that's updated frequently I strongly recommend it.

Some keys to help you out.
-Always take blue bird cabs, the one night I was in a bind and wanted to take a girl home with me but there was not a cab in site, I got hosed really well. If it does seem like a suspect cab make sure you tell your girl to negotiate a price before hand.
-Pick up as much booze as you can in duty free, alcohol is a bitch to get there. I ended up buying Johny Walker black label at beer garden for $90 a bottle. Either you can drink it there and have them put it away or you can take it back to the hotel
-Bottles in the club ranged from 90-160 including mixer. Make sure you go early to the club to get a nice table. After midnight you will be you will get whats left over which isn't the best.
-Spirits in the club are very expensive so just get a bottle works out a lot cheaper in the long run. Drinks were usually about $8-10 a drink
-Make sure you dress sharp, it will really help you stand out. For the most part you won't have any competition
-Make sure you have a solid story why you are in Jakarta, for the first bit I just told girls I was traveling and they would give me a strange look. It was just easier to say I was there for work, no questions asked after that.
-Make sure you do a full room sweep after your girl leaves. Some of them would always be forgetting stuff on purpose and putting it in weird places. When ever the second chick would come by she would find it and yeah
-There was this one place I went for fresh seafood it was amazing right next to the beach in North Jakarta. I was skeptical at first but it panned out to be one of my most memorable meals.

Well just arrive in jakarta weather is quite same same of bkk. Taxi didn t rip me off much but my bagage is lost in kuala and no electricity in my airbnb condo until 4 lol i should play lottery today.

Dia free delivery girl is coming by in 30. I might try skye tonight or X2 if i m not too tired...

It s a look like really différent from Bangkok so far but i can judge i m just here since 2h.

I would choose one of these 3 areas (in order of preference for me):

-Thamrin City/Grand Indonesia/Plaza Indonesia
This is the area I am the most familiar with. If you stay in Thamrin city, you'll be within walking distance or a short taxi ride to 2 shopping malls - Plaza Indo and Grand Indo. Great to take out girls on dates and then bounce to your place. Lots of restaurants and bars in these shopping malls, too.

-Senayan Area (near Plaza Senayan). It's more upscale and probably even better than Thamirin in terms of logistics, but I'm not very familiar with it and don't know if there are enough options for accommodation around Plaza Senayan. X2 and Red Square are part of the Senayan complex, as well as some good restaurants and bars.

-Kemang. This area is as close as you can get in Indonesia to the likes of the East Village in NY or Soho in London. Small streets (some of them are even walkable!) with bars, restaurants and clubs. Clubs are smaller (999, Nu China, Tipsy) and tend to attract a younger, more down to earth crowd. A lot of students go out there, so some clubs are pretty busy during the week, too.

Second day report :

Day time just hang out around grand indonesia eat some food in food court and you were all right girls are watching u in the eyes like wow... Never seen that before. I did use tinder around 6pm and one of them were in grand indonesia. I did meet her and we went in Starbucks have a Nice chat then we walk around and she just tell me u know what ? Day three :

I have to admit something. This is totaly insane... More crazy than i could expect. Tinder girl raped me 3 times in night time we enjoyed the pool too at 1am and in the morning she raped me again. are you staying at or near thamris residence?

am checking out longer term appartments, boy o boy it is so expensive. to get a deal one has to rent for 6 months minimum, and if you want to stay in the centre and not live a shoebox one is looking at closer to 2000 than 1500. way more expensive than manila or bkk.. worst part is that i have my gf, who's a clever local girl, seating for me… Now i know why jkk has been the best performing real estate market in asia for the last 4 years. and the problem is you can't stay far away from the centre because of the traffic...

Yes i m staying in thamrin cosmo mansion résidence. Just for a short stay it s 40€ a day. For a long stay i couldn t afford it... Bangkok is cheap for rent i had a condo for 1 month for 200€ in sukhumvit with cleaning two times a day.

I dunnot know how much is if per month but it seems to be super expensive..

For Work i think i would rather choose bkk or manila.
