RE: Older Guys (40+)
Seems like there are a lot of people in denial about aging on this thread. I hate to break the news to you but after mid-forties, options start getting narrower unless you are filthy rich, famous in some cool way (e.g., writer women like) even if not rich, or lucky. A lot of people I know believe by eating the perfect diet, they are going to live to over 100 and never have a serious medical problem. Well, shit happens. To every thing there is a season.
I'm in my early 60's, lift and not overweight. I have a a good diet and take care of myself. Mid-forties was still a great age to date. I still get looks from some good looking young women in Asia but there is no doubt that 50's are a lot harder than the 40's and 60's than the 50's. 70's is another story entirely. That is just life. Few women want to date a man 40 years older than them unless he can provide them with a fantasy life which he can do if he goes to a developing country like the Philippines. That is why there are so many old dudes there with far younger women.
You increase your odds by being financially solvent, staying fit, dressing well in a way that is modern but not trying to pretend you are 19, having energy, having game, and doing something interesting with your life. Of course, being filthy rich and famous and you don't have to worry.
However, there are some inherent challenges no matter what you do or what you look like:
1. few women over 40 are still bangable in my book and the ones that are know it. They are very entitled and usually not worth the effort in western white countries.
2. When you go to developing countries you can move down in age quite a bit but you will probably get a girl that isn't worldly and has a poor education. For me that just doesn't do it for long-term but fine for fling. Most men don't care how simple she is as long as she has a tight ass and will blow him. I need a little more for the longer-term. You can get some educated women in their mid 30's to mid 40's but you work harder for them than you did for hot babes when you are younger. Just life.
3. How you want to spend your time when you are older can easily be very different than how a young woman wants to spend her time. If you want to live the exact life you wanted to live in your 20's, you probably are in a rut.
Clooney and Warren Beatty probably had the right idea. Bang a lot of hot women when you are young then get married in your late 40's or 50's

I agree with everything that you say in the above post, except, your assertion that many guys here are in some kind of fantasy regarding their own aging process.
Surely guys have varying perspectives regarding aging, and accordingly, some guys spend more time acknowledging various age-related limitations, and other guys attempt to project an image of themselves or their situation in order to assist them in achieving, hopefully, their objectives, whether that is attempting to bang young chicks or otherwise experiencing their lives. I don't think that either way is bad, and guys will certainly chose the way that they believe to be most suitable to their own particulars.
I think that this thread in itself provides an opportunity to discuss and acknowledge varying circumstances and limitation (whether mind or matter) for guys over 40, yet maybe there is a need for a "more real" thread for guys over 60? or over 70? hahahahaha

RE: Older Guys (40+)
My only age-related limitation is I can't drink half of what I used to, and if I do I need 36 hours to recover.
Met with a girl who matched on tinder months ago. She was at her grandparents for the summer, but we texted every couple weeks. Just turned 20. Moved back to campus on Sunday, went out last night for drinks. We hit it off, then she tells me how much she likes older guys and can't stand frat boys or parties.
Bounce to my car for about an hour of serious body exploring, she's wearing nothing under her sparkly top. Man, college tits still point upwards, a pair of perfectly soft baseballs. People are walking by us and we're laughing but not stopping. Drop her back on campus at her dorm, she tells me which bar the hot girls drink at as well, funny. We're gonna meet up next week, she already texted to say what a great night she had.
So, even if we agree she's in the ~20% of young girls that only go for us lucky older guys, that's still 2-4 million hot girls out there that anyone here can find and game. Do not limit yourself with your thoughts and fears, gentleman.

I think the trick is to have a moderate outlook. It seems silly to pretend you are going to be the hot swinger at 75. But, it is self defeating to think of yourself as a old person once you hit 50 or 60 and to start limiting yourself. I think if you aren't pessimistic but are realistic you can better position yourself for the type of life you want when you are older. It can help when you are younger too.
For some that might mean bang a lot when you are young, work on your finances, and take care of your body and health, then marry later when it is hard to be a player or you are sick of it. For others it might mean something entirely different. (and if you become filthy rich this may be moot).
Maybe this is like the serenity prayer or Buddhism and Stoicism. You can work towards a goal but you have to be able to let go of the outcome.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
I can no longer pass for 30, 31, 32, or 33/34
I know I look at least 35 and probably a little older than that. (Especially, if I don't get good sleep)
Everything is different now..
Young girls (18-21) look at me differently. I have to be much more careful to not appear "creepy".
It's time to adjust.
Today, I went to a university campus to talk to college girls and I sort of felt a little out of place.. The vibe has changed..
So, I went across town to the business district -- and I got a better response form the working professionals who are more like 25 to 45 years old.. Some of them were very attractive and after years of dating only college girls, the slightly older vibe feels good to me..
I'm actually excited about starting to date women in their 20s and 30s... I have been interacting with that age group more and more and the response has been nice.. 40 is a really good age for dating -- IF we can maintain our appearance.
I'm excited for this new chapter in my life! I had a great run as a young man and now I will begin to transition into middle age. I'm not fighting it or denying it. I accept it and embrace it. I will still chase 19 year olds but my overall strategy will change.
I WAS aging gracefully... BUT, then I made a mistake!

RE: Older Guys (40+)
My uncle is in his mid-50s, has greying hair at the temples and has clear wrinkles especially when he smiles.
That said he also plays sports with guys in their late 20's, early 30's, lifts regularly, pays incredible attention to his diet, exercise, religion and peace of mind.
He only dates women in their mid-20s. My cousin, his daughter, who is now in her very early 20s gets angry about it. My uncle is divorced, obviously. I tried to explain to my cousin that I date girls in their early 20s, her age, even though im in my mid-late 30s. Her dad also likes those girls. Not surprising, all guys like younger girls.
I told her to make hay while the sun shines and use her beauty carefully. But mostly she gets banged out by hot, rich guys who cant get the girl they want. Then toss her aside.
To stay on topic. Guys in their mid-50s, if they keep a youthful appearance for their age and dress well can keep banging girls in their early-mid 20's forever. 18-19 year old girls, its not the same game. At least that is what Ive witnessed.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
I didn't read 55 pages of replies, especially since this thread has been going on since 2008. Wow!
I just passed the half-century mark. Now I learned game in my mid-40's after a divorce. I killed with women in my +/- 10 year window, mainly because everything was new and fun. I had fun and so did they. I banged solid 8's in that range during that time. I even gamed and bedded a cute 21 year-old during that time. But, it was way more effort and time than I'd consider investing any woman these days, especially being even more galvanized in the the red-pill reality of women.
I've also aged a bit, despite actually have a rather good body and being in great shape for my age. The age is showing in my face, and it bothers me because mitigating the age isn't as simple as diet and exercise, although facial exercises do help a bit.
However, at 50 and beyond I've lost the hormonal drive to want/need to bang every hot girl I see. The idea of banging them is still there, but I'm unable to justify the investment of time, effort and money to land a 20-something year old these days. And, most 30-sometings seem to be married with kids -- a deal breaker. Empty-nester MILFy types seem to be the new sweet spot for me. But they come with so much baggage that I hardly want to hear about all the shit in their past, their kids, their careers, blah, blah, blah. The older ones think they still deserve the husband, house and secure financial future despite having burned a lot of bridges in the past with their slutty childish behavior. They've had a taste of expensive things at this age and rarely settle for the simple (ie inexpensive) life and lifestyle. I miss the college co-ed who was thrilled to get something other than PBR in a can.
So, I'll do a year or so traveling to countries where older men still have status. I just don't have it here anymore. And I've got money and some impressive accomplishments under my belt, which I achieved at an early age.
When it comes to the mansosphere, which I refer to at times as the boy-o-sphere (because these are young men just coming into maturity and experience), I can't find much of any direction for the middle-aged and beyond male. I think we who are past 40 are going to write the future blogs to share game and manosphere ideas from the viewpoint of someone on the back-9 of life. I'm already working on such projects as I meet with other RoK'ers in my area, forming a tribe and helping them with things that only 40 years or more of life experience can teach.
Don't get me wrong -- I still approach 20-sometings -- approached 4 this past weekend on a cruise. I just haven't had success bedding them in the last few years. I have some new angles to try in the future. But I understand that I've had my ride on the young/hot girl carousel, and my ride is up. If I figure out how to get an express pass to get back on the attraction, I'll let y'all know.

Agree with your comments about the various groups of women available when you are over 50. Two terms come to mind - 1. Law of diminishing returns and 2. ROI. I couldn't find a segment of women in the US who were worth the amount of effort it took to bang them with the exception of fresh off the boat immigrant women. That is a big reason why I moved out of the US. Better return on your investment of time and money elsewhere. Heterosexual men of any age no longer have the status in the US that feminists, thugs and trannies do. We do have perceived value elsewhere so go where you are valued.
I am also formulating some ideas for online ventures for those of us over 45 who don't want to live the sedate life, with maybe a little golf thrown in for excitement, that is expected of us.

Probably we are saying very similar things, but I do think that it is up to the guy if he wants to attempt to act like he is in his 20s when he is 75, and even if others think that it looks goofy, the guy has to judge for himself the cost benefits and whether he thinks it is working for him. Surely, some guys are going to come to the wrong conclusions and even conclusions that are not really working for him, and nothing wrong with that. Yet I think guys in this forum are trying various forms of self-improvement, and sometimes, we are going to be able to identify what works and what does not work, and sometimes, we may not realize until later down the road (if ever?) that some approach was not working very well for our own limitations and goals.

Seems like a lot of work.
Have you tried using classic pua techniques in more dense social situations like gallery openings, book clubs, poetry readings..etc?
WIA
Poetry reading I did in my 20's. Rarely encountered good-looking young women there. I used to do a music open mic, that was fun. Book clubs- all over 40+. Language school classes- retired people. Film festivals with filmmaker and producer friends- the girls in general are interested in those bigger wigs, but there are ops. Gallery openings- yeah, nice idea.
My hobby is making music vids. I could probably be more assertive with girls I am helping promote, as during an opportunity last weekend.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
A few questions to the older guys. I'm 40, and I want to catch up quickly on my retirement. I got divorced 5 years ago, and made it through ok, but it knocked out a sizable chunk of my retirement. I am trying to understand how to create a lifestyle where I will be happy, and still save significantly for the future.
My question is; to prepare for retirement, how much sacrifice have you made to put as much money away for your retirement? And how has that limited your lifestyle as an older man?
With what I read, it is said that at least 50% of your take home income could be saved for up to(or more than) 10 years, to achieve your financial goals. I could live like this, but I would be sacrificing my disposable income for travel, going out, extra clothes, etc.
I am in a fairly young industry. I keep asking myself what am I going to do in the future. Stick this out as a full time employee for another 20+ years? To me that feels uncertain. Entrepreneurship to me is the only other alternative, unless I find a new industry/career path.
And with that, I have nothing going on outside of work and the 35-50% time with my children. Basically its the perfect time to start a nights and weekends side gig, and hustle my way into a new business. I have started businesses in the past, each making $100'sK in revenue. I've successfully started profitable revenue generating businesses in the past, starting as a kid. I was good at it.
So, my other question is, as we get older, have to face a changing job landscape, aging, retirement, post-divorce lifestyle, etc, can anyone share how they have dealt with these questions and issues they have dealt with? How has it impacted your lifestyle, ability to travel, bang younger girls, stay healthy, etc?

RE: Older Guys (40+)
Vaun,
Where do you live and what is your salary? It is all dependent on that.
Happiness can be had for very low cost, it just depends on your wants and desires.
If you make 30,000 then you wont be able to save much. 50% of 30,000 is 15,000 which is tough to live on. 50% of 200,000 is 100,000 which is very easy to live on. Percentage is not a good measure.
Also, as i've watched my dad age, he stresses have fun now, because when you're older money doesn't mean much.. Unless you're betting on prostitution later. But girls are here now. When you're older they are much more difficult. So enjoy the money now. Just save enough so you will be able to live comfortably later.. That is tough to tell you unless I know what you're making. There are plenty of online resources to tell you how much you should have saved give various investment returns. Check them out and it should give you an idea of how much you need. Don't forget bout social security, etc. Also factor in your health and predicted lifespan. Once you know your number then backdate your age and see what you need to save per year. Keep in mind the government regulates how mch you put into a 401k per year as well as roth IRA.

There's a few things us older guys have to take care of so that as we get later into our 50s and 60s you won't be scrambling to figure out what to do.
Number one thing is your health. If you're healthy, you feel good with good energy levels, you can live well and continue to make money to live well. It gets much harder as you get older, your body feels it and you most definitely cannot do the things you did in your 20s and 30s. For me, I watch my diet carefully, work out regularly, get proper sleep and not drink excessively. I also went on TRT last year which has helped immmensely and I'll likely add some theraputic HGH soon. Every guy over 40 should consider this.
As far as money goes, I work for myself so as long as I keep my business running, I can work as long as I need to. This is where being healthy and energetic is critical. My goal is to simply get to the point where I'm working because I want to, not because I have to. I have no desire to "retire" and play golf and drink everyday with a bunch of old guys who are just waiting to die. I'll save a lot of my income but I'm not a big fan of the 401k scheme as I prefer to just pay the taxes on my income now so that when I'm old and retiring, I wont need to pay any more taxes. I want to be done with the IRS by then. Plus, I don't really trust the stock market as I think a major correction and prolonged bear market is coming.
Lifestyle wise, i think most guys should live well below your means and save as much as you can. The whole baller lifestyle is the dream of 20 year olds who haven't faced a lot of reality yet (which is quite alright at that age I would say). What I plan on doing is keeping my day to day expenses as minimal as possible but then splurge every so often on travelling, hanging out with friends and my kids. Going shopping to buy stuff doesn't really do anything for me as I prefer to spend money on experiences and people.
As far as women go, most likely they will just be around for a fun time and not for long time. I agree that the ROI on women is just not there. They are all net liabilties, with bs problems that they are dying to dump on some poor sap. I'll just take them as they come and I most definitely won't be obsessing over them. I'll end by saying that the number one thing an older man can do to minimize his risks to his health, wealth and overall well being is to not get married again!
The purpose of money isn't for buying shit, it is for buying your way out of shit.

Gio,
You should now consider international travel. In the US, women are socialized to avoid large age gaps, even if they are attracted to the guy. Not true in some other countries, especially SE Asia. Age gaps of 20 years are not that big a deal in places like Philippines, especially if you are a fit older gentleman, which you are.
Take care of those titties for me.

10 to 20 years is fairly common in the SE Asia and in the Philippines I know quite a few men who have a 40 year gap and are quite happy.
Women in the US are socialized to not have an age gap where the man is older and talk about "age appropriate" relationships. On the other hand, US women are increasingly seeking relationships with much younger men but don't consider that age inappropriate.
I find in the US (or at least San Francisco area) that most women want to date up except for the brief period when their biological clock is kicking in. Most women over 40 have lower libidos and would rather be single than not date up. They can be even worse than young women since young women are at least driven to have sex. Most men I knew in SF who weren't either tall or rich tended to have to date women who were older than them. It was better in the burbs.
In SE Asia as long as a man halfway has his economic act together both he and the women he dates or the woman he marries will be dating/marrying up. So that at least is a win win.
