Yeah - and all that work has been smartly dismantled in the last 35 years.

But let's keep it real here:

Had to share this little clip - any guy 35+ will understand this whenever there are attempts to set him up with age-appropriate (barf) women or some post-wall ones hit on him because they assume that he must have swallowed the useful meme of the day:

That's brutal - heh.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
Just turned 44. On my birthday this girl I met at the park 1 month ago texted me to come over to her place for some wine. She wanted to celebrate the end of her graduate school rotation. I ended up being her booty call. We hung out again last night, and I found out she is 29 y/o.

Yea, a little of seeking validation on internet forum. I know. It is reassuring to know that I can still nail a 29 y/o. I am in California btw. I think it's useful if guys clarify their geography especially talking about older guy, younger girls. One the other hand it still left me feeling empty. I really want to find a cool, beautiful, girl before I am 45 and settle down and have a family.

In the last 2 years I've dated a 30 y/o, 28 y/o, and this current 29 y/o. Perfect age for me, but none of them meet my criteria or rock my world. I haven't banged that many girls. About 30. But looking back there were definitely a few beautiful girls that I adored. I just want to find a girl like that again. But now time and age is working against me.

Nothing much more to contribute.

Work out like everyone said, but make sure you strengthen those accessory muscles. You cannot be jumping on those starting strength, 5x5 strong lift anymore. Those are great workouts, but just be very aware that one injury will kill your mojo, libido, and turn you into a fat slob.

Meet girls in real life. Online is a waste of time. You can lie about your age, but I prefer not to. The last 3 girls age 28-30 all knew my real age, and I met them face to face. Once they like you, the age doesn't bother them as much or at all. 28 y/o online just have too many options with the 30-37 y/o guys.

Keeping my hope up with a sentimental smile lol

Caught an interview with legendary golfer Gary Player today. Hope you guys in the rest of the world can see this clip from the BBC website.

I'm late twenties, but I was inspired by this dude's attitude to getting older. Top man.

27-29 is where women enter the epiphany phase and a 44 yo man who is in shape does not look so bad to them anymore. They may even think (actually some have confirmed it to me) that a guy 40+ will less likely dump them as he is mature enough to want to settle down or at least spoil them.

However when you try to bang 18-25 - those ones are in their party years - even if they are not on the proverbial carousel. They consider guys above a certain age as creepy, their girlfriends made fun of some of those etc.

Disclosing your age to them in the beginning will bring a swift knee-jerk reaction and the end of the interaction even if she liked you before. After you have made out or even had sex a few times you can tell her your age and her hamster will rationalize it away.

There is a huge difference between girls in their prime and approaching their epiphany stage - their hamster brains usually cannot handle a 40+ or even a 50+. I would say that even if you were some kind of supernatural genetic freak who looked 30 years younger. If you dropped the knowledge that you were 60 and showed your ID, a girl in her prime would bail. Her hamster brain would not be able to take it - all despite tingles and all.

Now all of this shifts upward as soon as you are high value - money or fame in this case - and you offer her commitment. A fit 55 year old high-net-worth man can openly bag a 25 year old, who is at least looking for a sugar daddy she likes to fuck.

Money can be the great equalizer - but of course only to a degree, since the relationship becomes ever more transactional.

^^^ Hate to admit it but that pic even creeps(I hate using that word) me out a bit. One thing to bang girls that look young enough to be your daughter. When they look young enough to be your granddaughter that's pushing it!

^ haha But given the opportunity, if you were in his shoes, would you go for it?

Or is it even just a "not publicly" kind of thing?

As much as the older expats over here in SEA get a bad rap, for example, I can't really blame them for pulling their chair up to the table given their alternatives in life. Won't go as far as to say I'll be doing it at their age but I still can understand.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
I'm about to turn 40. Not sure how I exactly feel about it. Other than posting to this thread Eatpuss I never throw my own birthday party. Im single now and I will probably go somewhere but thats debatable because I dont want to spend money. Thinking about going to a guitar camp with some of the best guitarists in the world, for a week to jam with them and learn from them 1:1, which falls on my birthday. Its like a guitarists fantasy camp. Its not that expensive, but it would be a rare, incredible trip. I don't know whats to expect about turning 40 other than my divorce is 5 years behind me and I have moved on, and I get to access the positive intel from this board. Health is good, I feel good, things are good now where 5 years ago I was at rock bottom.

"as much as the older expats over here in SEA get a bad rap,"

you say that like its a BAD thing. :-)

Being vicariously envied and as a result, attracting contempt and hostility means you're getting something others fear they won't get. A girl much better looking than they are.

If you're "creeped out" by my being with a19 year old-- I thank you . It means I did better than anyone expected.

It's unfair and wrong and something should be done . But no one has.

Another thing about a girl fucking a real status guy like Woods-- If she gets somewhere in her career and avoids 10,000 hours of PRECIOUS YOUTH wasted waiting tables in Pancake House.....and the humiliation of kissing ass that whole time-- the alternative seems a LOT more appealing...

You cant really say how you would feel unless you were that age; remember when you were 20 and thinking or not thinking about being 40? Now 40 its not at all what I thought it would be when I was a clueless insecure kid.

I know a much older expat in Thailand, have known him since I was a child. He split up with his overbearing hag here and moved to Thailand, he lives there like a king and could not give one flying fuck about what anyone thinks of him.

My turn..

About me.. 40.5 y/o The girls I have dated recently have been in the age range from 28-33, and age I seem to like, as I don't necessarily want to raise some kid girl who has been brainwashed by today's SJW in College. I am looking for a long term thing with the intent to settle down with her (Crazy, possibly, but it is what I want).. the problem is this...

When we get into a conversation about our pasts.. mine always seems to be the thing that stops the relationship from continuing any further. It is like a stop strip placed out on a high speed chase!

Here are the facts.. I have 2 kids, one 17 and one 15..from two different moms. I have little if any contact with the children. It makes life easy in regard to no involvement with money grubbing mothers. I have been married twice. Once to the First Child's mom, and once to a Ukrainian woman who could not handle the culture shock of coming to the US. The second child's mom I did not marry. I am 40, and while I like the idea of having kids (again) so I can 'raise them properly' (As I had nothing to do with the other kids) I am not in love with the idea of being 60 with a 20 year old, being retired with a 10 year old (I can retire at 50) and just as important, I am uneasy about bringing a child into the world of shit in which we currently live.

So.. how do I handle this conversation? I know, I know.. If she cannot handle you and your past, then she was not meant for you, etc.. true.. and that is how I handle the rejection.. Maybe I am just so self conscious about it that it shows through as a loss of confidence? Thusly getting a swift rejection? I don't know.. but when I try to be honest.. I can expect a woman to fly away pretty quickly.

I don't want to be judgmental, but they probably will be. I'll play devil's advocate and think about it from her POV.

--You weren't involved in the life of the previous kids? Do you think she wants that for her kids? Why are you going to be different now?

--Men may envy you can skip from woman to woman, but I imagine it is going to make her wary-- she may legitimately fear at "28-33" getting involved with the bad boy other women gladly had kids with when he was ~24 and they were presumably 20-25.
She might hit the wall with you casually walking away and her with nothing...

I am wanting to date them.. of course I understand that if I just want to fuck them.. no need to even go there...and I don't in that case.. but the ones I am really interested in.. that is a different story.

I know they are judgmental.. that is why 'I get the walk away' from them..

Does she want that for her kids.. no, and how am I going to be different now... I suppose that is where the problem is.. Also take into light about my philosophy on having kids... It is an option, just not my best option at this point in life because of age, society, etc.. but.. it is an option. I have stated that I am interested in 'being able to raise my own children' as I was not able to raise the current ones.. as an answer to this.. and no dice. So, when to bring this up? and how do I get them to understand that it is different now? those are the questions... ugh.. it sucks being here in this spot.

Lastly, while I may get the envy from men... It sure helps the ego, but, it does not help one to find something LTR.

FiremanNo_13,

Thanks for sharing. I know that doesn't really mean much since I don't have any super deep insights on your situation.

But you gone out there and lived and dealt with the ups and downs of it all, it sounds like. I can respect that.

May I ask a question, do you want to find a women in the US? Sounds like you were able to meet someone abroad, bringing her back didn't work out. Any chance that you can do something remotely for work and move there?

For me, I have figured the only way to marry a healthy, in shape, decent and grounded with some realistic view of life woman who is in her prime baby carrying age is probably to go abroad. And stay there until the kids have gotten a little older and I know we are good family before bringing them to the US.

Once again, thanks for sharing. It might sound weird I am thanking you so much, but I live in a bit of a bubble work wise and my friends don't have the life experiences some of the guys have here.

The answer is easier than you think. Don't tell them. Why do they have the right to know about your past?

Cut the past loose and start anew. If she asks if you have kids say, "No". After all, in a very real way you really don't since your life and theirs are seperate.

If she finds out later on just tell her you said what you said because of the reason above and also that 99% of the people you've told that to in the past end up projecting their own judgments and assumptions onto you, and rather incorrectly.

Tell her how with other people the whole conversation ended up being about the past, and the past is painful and you let it go a long time ago in order to have a new life.

Myself, never married, but I have a son who I was very involved with until he was 7, but because of life circumstances and the demonic nature of his mother I had to let that go. No one knows my story, how it began, what kind of woman she was, what she did. Yet, everyone, Man and Woman, will bring their own childhood drama along with their assumptions (some personal, some cultural) and will judge you.

Fuck that, and fuck them. They don't have any "right's" to know, and just imagine all the shit she doesn't tell you either.

In my experience, when a girl has found out and questioned, "Why didn't you tell me?", I've taken that hard line stance with them, and they often get tingles and even apologize. That's frame.

First post, and thanks to everyone on the forum and especially in this thread especially for contributing.

Hi, 43 here. Can't agree more about being careful working out, it sucks when you injure your back and then your knee and are out for weeks. It really really sucks when watching the Open is the highlight of your weekend.

I prefer meeting girls in real life, however online has not been a waste of time for me. I don't bring up my age upfront and they assume from my pics I am early to mid 30s, since I do look younger and in good but not great shape. After a few weeks of sex if they ask I may take a couple of years off, but not always.

My last 4 dates from online were 23, 21, 20, 20 in order. Young girls just don't seem to care that much. Girls 25-27 care more about my age than college girls. As someone else said above, 30 is like 40 to them, very true.

This summer has taught me if you take them out for drinks and have fun, & can stay up past midnight, you look a lot younger in their eyes.

Of course, then I need a 8-hr sleep and a hour nap after work the next day, but to get a bang or halfway there until Date 2, that's a small price to pay. Consecutive nights on low sleep is a total and complete killer for me though.

She might hit the wall with you casually walking away and her with nothing...

What about a different option a third way? Instead of finding a woman abroad and bringing her back or living in her country. What about a third location a place you want to live? For instance meet a good intelligent beautiful woman from Russia or Ukraine and get married then move to a place like Costa Rica?

Country has decent infrastructure many America expats have already done it. Ere are very nice enclaves within the country you can get an apartment or house whatever you need. You are close to the U.S. you can visit anytime you need. Or maybe live part time abroad and part time in the US.

I have not seen anyone talking about this option. Has anyone tried this?

RE: Older Guys (40+)
That's a good point reco2100.

I have never been to Costa Rica so I wouldn't know how viable that is.

But if she has any good qualities, one of them is going to be she cares about her family and I doubt she wants to get far away from them. And to be honest, I'd hate to take her from her family. But while my parents joke and say they would move to where I am, I would be concerned about their safety.

One option is to move to Poland. Though getting westernized, it does provide a safer environment. More stable. When I have been there it isn't like it is overwhelming amounts of cash being thrown around by people.

I think Poland is a great place. While it might be an upgrade in living, it doesn't cost a ton more than Ukraine to live. You'd be giving her a better life, still close to her family but I would be comfortable letting my parents visit/stay in Poland.

Sure, I could try and get us more west like the UK. But I am not interested in her getting brainwashed either.

But at some point I'd probably need to move the family back to the U.S. When I am not exactly sure. What age when the kids would struggle too much to adapt. At what age would the transition be too hard to fit into the school system and get into college (if that made sense). When would I know that my wife is fully committed to me and our kids. Etc.

I'd love to hear stories from guy who have handled this.

She wasn't even in the job for two weeks when it happened. When I say that I thought that I was going to marry her, it was because she said she wanted to marry me and to have children with me everyday. It is from this background that I joined the multitude of men who, "didn't see it coming".

Since then I have had a few hook-ups from Tinder and a mini-relationship with a 21 year old Hungarian 7 who has since returned to Budapest. She contrasted in many ways to the UK Tinderellas in that she is better looking and capable of more than ONS and she can talk to men without being drunk. Because of the low quality of UK women with whom I price-match on Tinder, I decided to be very sociable and go to all work events.

I went to one last week where I was accosted by a UK 4. Overweight, a face like a potato and who walks with a limp but 11 years younger than me. All night she was following me around, touching me and butting into conversations I was having with better looking non-UK women. Then I realised all the other girls left the area I was standing in at the bar and I was left with this 4 when she tried to pull my shirt out of my trousers. That was the last straw so I left the venue and went to a smart cocktail bar on my own. I was just as annoyed when the girls I was having good conversations with left me with the 4 whom I didn't want to speak to.

The good thing is that one of the Spanish girls who left me with the 4 texted to ask where I went to so I replied with 'Gatsby' style pictures of me with an aviation cocktail that I asked someone to take of me in the cocktail bar. She has been texting me ever since. Not being British, she has the better personality and figure than most over-priced UK women.

The 4 is 27, the age of my ex but who represents a hell of a climb down from my harlot of an ex.

I was struck by your comment about UK women you match with on Tinder who, you claim, are only able to talk to men when drunk, in contrast to European women. This is something I have also observed with women in the UK. But a much more salient feature of UK broads which sets them apart from their European sisters is their inability to engage in any sort of genuine two-way conversation. By this I mean the inability - or perhaps unwillingness? - to show a natural inquisitiveness and ask questions back about the guy they are interacting with and who is doing all the rowing in the conversation.

Only yesterday, as I was getting off the bus from Newcastle, I noticed a very attractive-looking woman that I had heard speaking Polish a few days earlier, so I accosted her there and then and enquired whether she was, in fact, from Poland. I was genuinely shocked by the difference of the interaction with British women, despite the fact that it turned out she was already married: Firstly, despite her slim and very good looks, there was absolutely zero trace of the usual haughty, stuck-up attitude that I now take for granted when interacting with British women. Secondly, there was a softness of manner to her - a real femininity - such that I would be hard-pressed to say when the last time was that I encountered a native woman with this characteristic (decades ago, I suspect). If this had been a British woman I had accosted on the street in my home town, I would have almost certainly encountered a very different type of personality: paranoid and stony faced, coupled with an extremely uptight body language and a person that would have been anxious to extricate herself as quickly as possible from this unsolicited and hence unwelcome interaction. And, thirdly but most important for me, I found that she was just as curious about me as I was about her and she was happy to converse with me by asking questions about me, as well; a trait which I've noticed to be the norm with women from European countries and which women in the UK also used to possess until 10 years ago or so.

It is the last feature that most pains me about British women these days: their ego-centric, solipsistic and utterly shallow mindset. It is almost as if by not asking a single question about the man who is interacting with them they are signalling that only their opinions and needs are of any value or significance; this phenomenon I observe, incidentally, even with British women who have given me IOIs and seems to be a standard behaviour of nearly all British women, irrespective of who they talking to. Coupled with their narcissism and extremely hypergamous nature these days, this is a conclusion that seems to be inescapable to me.

My question here is: Is this something that you or others on RVF have also noticed, or am I way off base here? From everything that I have heard said of US women and judging from my own, albeit limited, number of interactions with American broads, UK women seem to have become carbon copies of them, in all the worst respects.

Not sure re EU woman, but have observed the same with Asian females who are also married. But, the ones who've been here for several years usually turn sour.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
My and my mate's experience with EE girls in UK is not as rosy as you guys paint it. They do appear softer, but after having spent a few years here, some become westernized in their attitude, I think (perhaps social media's got something to do with it that there's lack in the art of conversation on girls' side). For exmaple, was last Monday on a date with a Russian devushka and she was a dull chatterbox, got asked not a single question by her. Mate was on a date with Romanian, similar thing.

RE: Older Guys (40+)
Spot Feldeinsamkeit. I think British women look down on anyone who approaches them, this is the default setting. Their stony faced demeanor and haughty attitude is one of the first things that I noticed about UK women after living in France for four years. I also noticed that they drop their heads to look at the pavement when walking by a man.

I've found American women to be quite open and friendly when I cold approached but they are suckers to a European accent.

It is telling that European women who don't speak English fluently are often better conversationalists in English than UK women. I sometimes wonder if UK women actually like men.
