But again I don't think they're the majority.

Although it is not unusual for an Asian girl to date white guys in SF, it's far more common to see Asian women with Asian men.

It's much more a Southern California thing for the Asian hotties to try to latch on to a white guy. In SoCal, white guys have a higher status (perceived) and the girls go after them. In SF, it's more so the white guys with yellow fever who are chasing the girls.

Also, in SF many Asians can be clannish (only hang out with other Asians) and anti-social or weird around people from other cultures, etc.

Is it just me, or do Asian dudes in NorCal generally have better game than Asians in SoCal? This is obviously a broad generalization based off of cursory experiences, but I definitely knew plenty of Asian dudes with game back in the Bay Area. I barely know of any here in Santa Barbara, and from what I hear the Asian dudes further south aren't much better off. Might explain why female SoCal Asians supposedly like white dudes better.

There is alot going on in this thread. My 2 cents

Asian American women often want to assimilate to the American culture. By dating white guys(white being the dominant race in the US) they are assimilating to the US.

Asian women from Asian countries is a different thing. Sargon and another poster talked about how white guys do not get special treatment in Japan. This doesnt surprise me Japan is very xenophobic and foreingers are not well recieved culturally. But there are many countries in Asia and this is less the case in other asian countries who really want to emulate the US culture the Philippines and China being two examples. In those countries being a white guy is going to carry more weight than Japan.

Then there is the fact that much of Asia is developing countries which have poor citizens and for girls there dating a white foreigner is a way of climbing the social/economic ladder if the relationship leads to marriage.

Finally some women have race fetishes. Lets me generous and say 2% of all asian women have a thing for white guys. That means white guys even in cities with many other whites in Asia are still going to have a larger demand of women with a white fetish than white men available to fill the need. Naturally this not race specific as women in Asia could just as easily have a latino or black fetish but this speaks to the issue of why foreigners in asia who never did well at home can find a girlfriend in asia.

My current thinking is that I am NOT going to make too many communications with girls in the Phils until I am getting really close to arriving in the country b/c if there is a month or more before my arrival, then it seems to me to be too much of a waste of time to be going back and forth in communicating, in my thinking.

Yeah, in some places it works to a guy's disadvantage, but guys here in this forum already know that we either want to go to places that we have the most advantage or to work game in such a way to cause our own advantage(s).

When I taught English in Korea in the mid 1990s, I knew that I was getting paid better than the Korean English teachers who could teach better than me and even had some other better personality traits than me; however, I was white. Some of the Korean looking teachers were quite irritated b/c even they were native speakers of English, just like me, but it was a disadvantage of the market that they were in. In that regard, the best for them would be to figure out a way to put themselves in a better market.

I don't see a problem with it either. Though I can easily see why some American Asians might be irritated with it when they travel to the motherland. I'm a firm believer in playing the hand you were dealt in life. And if the hand happens to suck then start counting, or cheat. Game the system. Take advantage of it.

I've personally thought of using a cute girl I know to get investments from white knights for business projects. It's a valid strategy. She'd have a much easier time than I would.

Yep.. use whatever tactics are at your disposal and that you can get away with without getting locked up for too long.

For example, avoidance of taxes is legal and acceptable; however, evasion of taxes is NOT legal. In this regard, the slope can be slippery, and if we are treading in what may be considered the illegal arena, then we have to take that into account when we are calculating cost versus benefits.

White and English speaking (the latter is very important) are used as a proxy for high status foreigners in certain Asian countries. If you're a white Russian, you get none of that. Also, people in those countries have long realised that white English teachers and backpackers are generally loser arts students back home so they have not much respect for them. Whoever drew that cartoon saying Koreans "don't mix blood" is almost certainly a pridehurt Korean defending his woman's honor. I don't know why people say that White guys wouldn't get girls in Korea/ I was English teacher there, I hooked up in Korea, and so did all of the other English teachers I met. I never met any male English teacher in Korea who did not end up trying some of the local talent at some point.

I don't think Northeast Asia is quite as easy as places like the Philippines, but to say that they don't mix blood isn't right.

I think instead of hating on other races and saying who can't get laid where, we ought of focus on going to the countries we want to go to and scoring the chicks there.

Surely, we all have our preferences with whom we socialize and even cultural preferences, yet it seems that you are hating pretty heavily on Americans in a general way (and there are a lot of them participating in RVF). Surely, many Americans can be fairly arrogant and self-righteous, yet people of all cultures are somewhat limited by their experiences.

I have seen some people grow and try to associate with others, and other people who exclude communications with other and then tend to build up hate and resentment, which surely seems problematic, in my thinking.
